Mine showed 2 when I drove it off the lot. It switched to 3 in less than 100 yards. So, I'm saying 3.

Mine had 74. Dealer stated they did not drive it and that it was road tested by Ford. Ford had it about 7 weeks since blend date and ship date.

I work for Ford and work near MAP. They drive them in small convoys - (5-8 of them at a time is what I usually see) - from the plant to storage lots and from storage lots to rail yards and other unknown destinations. It’s not just Broncos - they do it with all of them but F150’s are by far the most common I see. Keep in mind Henry Ford invested heavy into real estate and purchased hundreds of thousands of acres of vacant land all over south eastern Michigan and elsewhere. That land was converted into commercial, industrial and residential sites over the years. Ford Motor Company still owns much of the land under their Ford Land real estate arm. That gives them a lot of locations to store vehicles waiting to be shipped or waiting to be chipped.
Just out of curiosity - is the rail yard where they're loaded on autoracks attached to MAP or do they have to be driven to another location. It looks like you're saying they're driven in covoys to a separate location to be loaded, but I've just wondered about this. Thanks!

I’m scheduled to pick up my Bronco today and since the 14 month wait did temper my excitement I “look for trouble” lol. I see on my FordPass app that there’s 52 miles on the truck. That seems like a lot. I was on the mountain for 5 months which could be the answer for me, now I’m just curious.

I’m not sure how they’re loaded on rail from MAP.

Just for clarification I wasn’t talking about auto carrier convoys.

I was talking about 6-8 Broncos following each other with a driver behind each wheel. That’s where a lot of those miles come from before delivery.

I’m sure many of the convoys I see are heading to rail yards. I assume many are Broncos that got missing chips installed and are heading for shipping.

Yep! I got what you're saying. Was just wondering if they had to be driven from MAP to the rail yard to be loaded, which is why there may to be 6-8 following each other at a time. Thanks for the input!

FFS, really? This thread again?

There is no right answer. Mine had 150 miles when it arrived. All sorts of weird shit can happen in shipping. It might show up with 2. Might have 150.
