First question:
I'm picking up my base bronco tomorrow and I was looking at some badlands take-offs locally to me.
What would be a fair offer for both of us?

Specs:
factory 22 badlands
Wheels and tires
They are 17”. The tires are Lt285/75R17 BFG A/T KO2’s. with TPS
1500KM's

Second question:
I was offered an extended warranty by my ford dealership.
Was told it includes everything that isn't cosmetic and comes with a full protective spray-down.
10 years 160000KM for $2500 USD or $3300 CAD
In your opinion is this worth it?

Thanks

Isn’t cosmetic needs to be defined but extended warranty for 2500 usd doesn’t seem terrible.

concerned if they would cover other stuff that’s put on aka null the warranty on wheels etc of the takeoffs.

Plenty of standard BL wheels/tires for half that price or less listed but don't know proximity to your location. I would offer him $1k US and negotiate up from there until you meet the max of what's listed in the link above if that's what you got to have.

Yeah, I'm going to get a full detailed list of what's included before I say yes.

switching the wheels would not null the warranty.

This is directly from the dealership, not a 3rd party warranty
Plenty of dealerships out there selling 3rd party warranties in lieu of Ford Protect. You can get a quote from Granger on their website to compare pricing but as stated you would have to check with them to see if they can sell to Canadians.

$1k USD seems to be a fair price for BL take-offs.

Edit. Assumed OP meant the optional BL wheels, I wouldn't pay that much for the standard BL wheels.

Half the price of what?
I never posted a price. We are currently working it out and wanted to get some opinons.
Didn't put it together that you had two questions, sounded like they were wanting $2500 US for a warranty on the wheels so never mind but do check out what others are charging on this site.

Just the tires? If you mean wheels and tires it depends on if they’re the optional grey beadlock rims, or the standard ones. There is more demand for the optional rims.

Right - a dealership can contract with a third party company (like CarShield) to sell their warranties. If something goes wrong, you work with CarShield and you're at their mercy to get it fixed and paid for. Maybe they approve of the mechanic you want, maybe they approve of OEM parts or only cheaper replacements, who knows.

A dealership can also sell the actual Ford-branded warranty.

https://fordprotect.ford.com/extended-service-plan

Know what you're buying for sure and whether or not it will work for you.

For example, in CarShield's policy, they won't cover:
a. Additions: headers, altered ignition switch, altered engine management systems, free flow exhaust, aftermarket sunroofs, snowplows.
b. Certain variances are allowed but limited specifically:
i. Lift Kits: VEHICLE where a lift kit has been installed to raise the VEHICLE more than 6 inches, unless surcharge was paid at time of sale and listed on the DECLARATIONS PAGE.
ii. Tire Size: VEHICLE with tires that exceed ten percent (10%) overall diameter variance.
So if you put 33s on your Base, it is no longer covered. Have a tune, a catback, a non-OEM top? Iffy, and they may deny you. Ford may have different rules, but you need to be absolutely clear about what's being quoted and who is providing the actual warranty.

Very good info, thank you. I will make sure!
