I'd do it, for a discount, and if I still had the hookups for rear defrost/wiper

Last 3 cars have been Mustang Convertibles. Mustang soft top is powered, not manual so a bit different.

1st one, the power never quite worked right and it was slow and always needed fluid added.

2nd was great.

3rd the top never fit right, and even adjusted as tight as possible had a horrible wind noise on the freeway. I think the frame was tweaked somehow.

So, as long as the top actually fit well, was not a pain to use, stowed flush, and didn't have a horrible whistling noise, then yes, I'd take a soft top.

I don't care a bit about the hookups. Never used a rear window wiper in my life. Used a rear defroster once in the last 20 years. Barely use my inside mirror, that why we have outside mirrors.

I feel like this needs to be revisited by Ford as a realistic option at this point now. You want to sell Broncos or not?

It's been said before and it's worth repeating, that I would take delivery of my Bronco without a top and then go get it from the dealership in a few months.

I live in SoCal and never wanted a hard top on my 2 dr Black Diamond. I was going to sell it or stash it somewhere anyway. I’d gladly take a soft top option. From what I recall, a lot of orders were from CA, FL, etc. Ford wants money, we want Broncos. Seems like an obvious thing (anyone from Ford listening?) would be to offer a soft top option on 2 doors. They get to ship a few more Broncos (assuming the hard tops are the real constraint), and get a few more into the hands of eager customers. I can’t understand why they haven’t done so.

I suspect the chemical shortages from the Texas ice storm and quality issues are multiplying to drive the delays. All of my clients and friends in manufacturing are being affected by the chemical issues. Ford will force Webasto to correct the quality issues but with limited raw materials every defect is magnified.

If Ford provide a hardtop at a later date. Hell I’d take delivery with no top if I could add hardtop later.

Personally, no. I ordered the vehicle exactly the way I want it, I'm not wanting to change my preferences.

Id take mine now and get the hardtop in November or about. My top and doors will be off until November anyway. Why I want a Bronco.

Does Tyler Texas get a lot of summer rain? I see you’re close in Plano/D/FTW area.

Most of it would be in April/May for East Texas. They'll have hot humid summers, but the rain mostly stops from june-september until it cools off again.
