I’ve been following this vehicle for a year. It has the BMW I6 drivetrain. Nice truck, but waiting to see how they setup the US sales/service network.
There will not at present be a Grenadier only network of stores. Their sales program is the way it should be. You deal direct with the company and delivery is arranged through a network of participating dealers of other brands. With the BMW engine and ecm it makes most sense for that network to be heavy on Bimmer dealers but that is still fluid at this point.

Once my son's ordered unit arrives I can relay how delivery and service actually works.

BTW, Ineos has a huge chemical/paint footprint in this country with probably a plant or two within 100 miles of everyone.

Oh and the Bimmer drivetrain ends before the axles, which instead designed and built by Carraro, a company well known already for producing unbreakable farm tractor axles.

Before you badmouth the BMW powerplant how many miles have you driven one? We racked up 150,000 on our 2008 5 series. Only true engine issue was flywheel position sensor.

And the transmission other than lacking two extra overdrive is identical to what's in your Bronco ( unless you have a 7MT)

BTW, figure on $78k entry point for a reasonably well equipped Grenadier.

They are already taking orders in Europe for the truck version which will cost about $10k less.
the BMW engine in there is the most compelling reason to get that vehicle, IMO. Power everywhere, dead reliable (I had one in my 335i that gave me 70k trouble free miles), and sounds downright glorious with the right exhaust.

Right there with the new Landcruiser, I keep waiting to see what the interior space will be. No one does a fold flat setup anymore. If a Chrysler Pacifica can have fold flat seating why can't a premium vehicle.

Most brands have a stigma, can't really blame people for that. Let's not talk about English car making stigma as Land Rover and Jaguar are the first companies that come to mind. Inos is fighting an uphill battle.

Wooow, Ford can't touch the Pacifica! Got double wide doors!

Really the most interesting part of this vehicle is the axles. Going to be interesting to see how much crossover with Dana axles.

The wife and I fell in love with the old defenders on a trip to England. She wants one of these, but configuring one as bare bones as I can I'm at $86K (they can hit $100K). I'm going to wait and see at that price. I need a truck, I want an offroader. The Quartermaster might fit that bill if the Grenadier does well.

My mom had a 2007 535 from new that was a pile, and went through a bunch of warranty stuff before the turbos crapped themselves at like 57k. If it was an NA engine I wouldn't worry so much, but no one jumps to BMW when people ask about which car companies are the most reliable.

Well after canceling my reservation, I get this email that my IG is scheduled! (Wish Ford would schedule my Heritage). What to do. I seriously love the look of these.

Screw it - check it out when it arrives, then either take it, deny it, or flip it. Whatever you chose, at least you have the choice

I have one reserved. Waiting to see about the service network in Canada before I decide if I'm going to accept delivery. Loaded Trialmaster with winch ends up around 130k Canadian dollars. for reference I paid under 55k for my 22 outer banks 2 door.

Does nothing for me. But then again, if I get a cut, I bleed Ford Blue.

I love these, but a few concerns...

1) Build quality, Ineos isn't an established manufacturer
2) Price
3) Dealer network
4) Reliability
5) Warranty work

I hate to say this, but I’ve been wondering the same thing about Ford lately

Hmmm... I could go for this if it become a little more mainstream, i.e. parts and service. Aftermarket stuff? it looks like it needs bigger tires and a 2" lift.

The BMW motor is the B58. Do your research, the motor is amazing with great reliability. There is an interesting connection with Toyota that you should know about, unless you live under a rock. I’ve got one in my car and I’d take one for my Jeep and Bronco if I could.
