Just as much as we refer to the minivan as a car. "Go get in the car", or "go get in the truck". Just depends on the context or if I give a crap on semantics.
I acknowledge it's just an off-road capable mid size SUV, but it'll be my "truck" a majority of the time.

Ford sells it as an SUV, but I'm still gonna call it my truck. Mostly because i find it very difficult to change my speech patterns once they are set, and I currently drive a truck. Ergo, everything will be a truck now. May as well embrace it.

I think DOT would call it a light duty truck or SUV.

Not all trucks have beds.

Ford books have always filed the Bronco under the Truck line so it qualifies. A more interesting question would be whether the Ridgeline is a truck.

The NHTSA classifies the Bronco as a truck, thus giving it all the extra herbs and spices to pollute drastically more than a smaller class of vehicle.

That would be why many people and Ford classify it as a truck.
