Low profile ditch lights

I used the Baja Designs S1 wide cornering in amber as ditch lights mounted directly with the factory accessory bolts, no 3rd party bracket. The S1's are very small and work very well. In some ways they are over kill as ditch lights. I have them aimed about 30 deg from the vehicle center line and slightly down.

You got any pics of them at night and how much they light up? I remember you bringing them up in a different thread!

Vehicle is going to be in pieces for a little bit so I will not be able to provide picks of lights in action for a few weeks.

I got these cheap lights when a exhibitor at SEMA started selling off their displays (which is not allowed). Not bad for $20.

I took a few pictures tonight with the S1 ditch lights. 1st picture is just the factory low beam out the windshield looking slightly left:

2nd pic is factory low beam with ditch light same orientation as the 1st picture:

3rd picture is with the LP6, S1, and factory low beam:

4th picture is looking out drivers side window with just the LP6 (I did not include this orientation with just the headlights since it was black:

5th picture is also looking out the drivers window with the LP6 and S1:

All the pictures were taken with at 1/30 sec shutter and f/4 aperture at an iso of 1000. If i did it again I would bump the iso up to 4000 or 8000 as I could see well beyond what shows in the pictures. Hope this helps.

Does anyone make a low profile ditch light ? I am not a fan of the height of the lights on the market today as they are yet another bug catcher and wind noise maker. I understand that the light coverage would be less but am sure it would be a better look package wise.

Thanks I did see that but I have a 22OBX with lux package and don’t see that as a fit. I’m looking for truly low profile on the regular ditch mount.

Im Curious what the OBX with lux package has in the mirrors that the oracle lights wont fit. As someone that has those lights and likes how much coverage they have.
