ive only seen 22 on my passenger side, doing a long rock along a grassy trail, my buddy was like fuck this, LMFAO- ive seen 25, nose first with no issue. 2 door sas/badland configure
I do not know the angle but both drivers side are off the ground (rock on front A arm and rear dangling) and the seat belt retractor would not releaseā¦doesnāt look as bad in photo as it really wasā¦double winch outā¦good times!
Spent 3.5 hours on a pretty rough trail yesterday only to find a closed gate at the end of it (gate was open on the side we entered). I wasn't sure I had enough gas to get all the way back and find a gas station, so I decided to take a bypass made by SxS. Thankfully it was slightly damp and traction was high.
I got a picture at 27° nose down according to the gauge, but I was too busy driving to take a picture at the steepest part. My buddy who was spotting me down said the steepest part was closer to 40°, but that could be a bit of an exaggeration. For reference I'm in a 2-door.
Just did the Moab Off Rodeo. Without any instruction we started the trail and boom! Hit 25 degree roll towards the driver side!!! My wife and I almost shit our pants!! We did not roll over but man it felt scary as hell and I had no clue what we were doing or what we were in for. Pretty ballsy of our instructor to just throw us out there but man was it great! Seemed like the less overthinking I did about the obstacles the better. Also think having the pro take you out made you feel at ease and able to tackle anything the trail threw at you! But yes I would like a rule of thumb for roll angles but I guess you canāt really get one. Itās all feel and experience. The instructor also said coming down hill and roll is no good. Going up you can handle a bit of roll or staying flat but coming down an incline watch out for the roll angles.
This photo is coming down a crazy part of the trail, got the rear passenger tire off the ground
