Someone on another thread insisted the mic tops are just cardboard covered in plastic. I thought he was being facetious. From your photos it really truly appears to just be cardboard. Are my eyes deceiving me?

EDIT: Also - please don't take what I said out of context in the other MIC 2.0 thread. I still love the Bronco dearly. My comment was more about accepting what it is for what it is and still loving it. The interior kind of sucks. The MIC definitely sucks. The Bronco is still awesome. Can't wait for mine.

I'm also not shitting on the MIC in this situation. An aluminum or all plastic formed top would have as much damage or more. Kind of surprised that's all that happened to be completely honest. But - that is cardboard you see.

I wonder if Ford thought about putting red warning decals under the latch handles? If it's unlatched, you can see the warning decal, but when its latched you don't? Simple, easy. And an easy visual reminder when putting the top back together.

I was thinking the exact same thing! Op has a surprisingly positive outlook

I've repaired worse on boats, although it was a shock to have happen. In the big picture, replacing one modular panel will be (in time, once supply catches up) alot easier and cheaper than putting the car in a body shop for repairs.

It’s an optional upgrade on many trims, he doesn’t need the MIC to to get a Bronco.
