So, I was lucky to pick up my Bronco 1st Edition at the end of October--very pleased with it.
However, I picked up my Hummer EV1 on Friday and must say that it is a special vehicle. It is a beast that drives like a Bentley with features galore. GM did a great job! According to my onboard systems, I am getting about 350 miles per charge.
Overall, both are great options with an edge to the HEV1.
Enjoy!

I was hesitant to post this--it is a rather boastful post. Just adding my thoughts. Though, this was a lucky year for me.

Well congrats. Those Hummer EVs sound awesome. The only EV that I would be interested in if I wasn’t a poor.

Thanks. I love the Bronco. The Hummer is more of a DD (especially with today's high gas prices--In CA we're hitting $6 plus). I think they both serve their own purpose.

So I've had an order in for the EV3 for almost a year now and was waiting to see which came in first- the Badlands or the Hummer. So I know it's hard to compare apples to oranges, but what are your thoughts on the two having both? Hummer great on the daily and the Bronco on the weekend? Wishing the doors came off on the Hummer too?

I was split between the Hummer, Bronco, or the Rivian R1T. I really wanted electric (Hummer/R1T), but also wanted the open top/doors (Bronco), knowing the Rivian was STILL trying to at least eek out anything close to a production number and as I missed the boat on the Launch Edition of Rivian, I ordered both the Hummer and Bronco and was going to make the choice of which to keep after trying each. I'm supposedly "8mo out" on the Bronco and prob about that on the EV3, but curious as to your thoughts on them comparatively if you don't mind.

If I am not mistaken, the EV is significantly more pricey than the bronco, correct? I have not driven one but I sat in it and it was pretty impressive for sure.

I think the Bronco is an excellent vehicle. I’ve done basic trail riding, so I haven’t utilized all of the wonderful off-roading features. I enjoy driving the Bronco, which is not as smooth as the Hummer but offers (in my opinion) a masculine ride. The hummer is smooth and has great technology. I used Hummer’s Super Cruise mode (hands-free). It’s cool. It will make lane changes and drive for miles as long as the system detects eye movement. Also, the roof or window panes are easy to remove. Their light and easily stored in the front cargo hold. The Hummer is also fast—I mean very fast and quiet.

I think it’s a tough choice. Realistically, they’re both solid builds and choices.

I hope this helps.

Ps In February, GM told me that I was winter 2022 delivery. A week later I received a "Ship" email. Good luck!

Ouch. I’d probably just take the bronco and use the remaining $60k on gas. Lol.

edit: and I say this as someone with PV panels on my house.

You can buy two loaded Broncos for the cost of one Hummer, so it better be the nicer vehicle!

Nice rides! My brother has a Rivian on order, and we plan on doing some electric vs ICE wheeling if and when we get our rides.
