Did you ever do anything else with the platform @Ropepa? Spring is here and I am ready to get things build to go camping :p
I have a few things that I still plan on doing to it, as of now I have just been using it. I have ~10 nights in it so far.
  • I am going to take the runner off of it and use raptor liner. The rubber is heavy, difficult to form around corners and holes and has not adhered well to the plywood.
  • I am going to change out the L-Track in the rear section over the cargo drawer to something lower profile, maybe reuse the stock tiedowns. I put my frig back there for a trip and the walls are vertical unlike the Plano tubs so it wasted ~2in per side.

Hi! Love this setup !

What are the dimensions ?

I did this with my tuffy. It was 3/4 plywood with carpet liner .

I built one of these this past summer. Nothing as fancy as CNC, just measured and cut in my shop. I wrapped the platform in indoor/outdoor carpet for protection and comfort. I've spent at least 5 nights in the back so far and works great, even with 2 people. I did add paracord with adjustable clips on the Molle panels behind front seats so each person could adjust head height for their personal preferences. I use regular sleeping pads that I already had. My build ended up being a 4 piece unit as I adjusted for the different heights in the back and seats folded down.

I have the Tuffy as well, but found it was to high for the room I wanted inside. I did the same thing you did with the carpeted top on the Tuffy. So the system I built with no measurements written down. I did the old CAD (cardboard aided design) and then some trial and error until it fit the way I wanted. If I did it over again, I would make some changes to the connection that sits over the pivot point of the rear seats. And probably add drawers under for storage. I've since graduated to an RTT and a fridge slide in back. I didn't like sleeping next to my cooler in bear country anymore. Sorry I'm not more helpful on those measurements!
