Maybe they're trying to plan which 20% of customers they'll screw over by selling to someone else? This sounds dumb from a dealer perspective. If I was a dealer Iād want all my reservations to have shitty credit (not sayin Op has shitty credit) because they would order one, then maybe not be able to close the deal on delivery and I could sell it for a lot of $ and add ADM selling it off the lot in high demand.
Nah.... Nothing like that. But I do have a link to apply for credit directly thru Ford.Login to your Ford account and look at your reservation. There's likely a pre-approval certificate there.
Maybe it doesn't apply in Canada?Nah.... Nothing like that. But I do have a link to apply for credit directly thru Ford.
Yeah, probably...Maybe it doesn't apply in Canada?
I didn't. Thing popped up one dayYeah, probably...
Did you have to do anything to get a pre-approval?
And they got one! $500This makes no sense, credit check would be done at the time of delivery, a deposit is what they should be asking for.
How do they determine your approved and for what amount. I donāt remember filling out any salary info when I reserved. ....I have one in my account but I could buy 2 or 3 Broncos for their āpreapprovedā amountMy dealer is wanting to do that as well to ensure the people can afford to get a Bronco. That said, they are only doing it to those that don't have the Ford pre approval offer in there reservation.
Nope, other than make the reservation. It was just there one day.Yeah, probably...

If I had to guess Ford ran a "Soft Inquiry" on person's credit. How do they determine your approved and for what amount. I donāt remember filling out any salary info when I reserved. ....I have one in my account but I could buy 2 or 3 Broncos for their āpreapprovedā amount
That's what I think. Hard inquiries ding your credit, soft ones don't...If I had to guess Ford ran a "Soft Inquiry" on person's credit.
Same here, the only way I noticed was checking my monthly statement, they never said a work, just took my $1000..My dealer needed nothing. Even got my $100 back when I switched dealerships.
