Need order advice

The dealership I chose in my hometown converted my reservation to an order without talking to me despite an email I sent 3 weeks ago stating I was not ready to order. I’m waiting for that high end top option I selected. They also changed my build negatively when they submitted. I’ve been bugging Ford for help, nothing back yet for a week and a half. Has anyone had this happen? Was it resolved? It’s not in production yet… Auffenberg Ford South in Belleville IL says Ford did it. Ford says they don’t do that or change options.

I believe accidents happen but in this case I'm not so sure it wasn't intentional. After you stated that you weren't ready to order, they either wanted to keep you from moving your reservation to another dealer or intend to steal your reservation.

Wash your hands of that dealer and move elsewhere. Illinois should have a lot of options. Heck you might even consider Granger as they are "kinda" close to you. Remember: You're in charge and hold the keys to your success. Don't let them play you.

Hey, let me know if you find something good in IL because I have had no luck moving my rez.

Issues-

Look in Michigan. You're about 4 to 5 hours from the plant. There are lots of good dealers here in Michigan.

I try to keep my distance from Auffenberg... I'm a Belleville native and never had good experiences with sales or service. I went with Laura Ford of Sullivan, MO. They offered competitive pricing at the time I placed my reservation in July 2020 and have been generally responsive. Ford should be able to work with the dealer to cancel your order at Auffenberg and transfer it to a dealership of your choice. They should also be able to restore your original reservation timestamp, although timestamps don't seem to matter with Bronco builds these days. Hope this helps!

Remember all these shady dealers on your next purchases people and tell your friends and family how shady they are and not to buy from them. The Bronco hype will fade soon and it will be Broncos everywhere you look at every airports rental car lot and in both your side and rear view mirrors on your commute and there will be deals to be had. I’m going to patiently wait with an honest dealer with no BS pricing just like I have with previous car purchases
