Well, I started calling dealerships in the area asking to be put on their wait list back in January/February of 2017. Can I calculate my days starting there?

Only one of the 6 or 8 dealers I called actually took my name and number and even with regular emails to them, they didn’t reach out to me until about 6 weeks after reservations opened.

Well , since we are just dreaming up numbers to make ourselves feel slighted or significant ... or something ..... I decided to use my join date

since that is close to when I learned of the then new Bronco to come. So my day count would actually be somewhat larger.
My clocked stopped on Oct 8th, 2021 when I took delivery.

well from order date has not been 500 days.

I get that we have all been waiting far longer than is necessary. But I have to disagree with the premise of 500+ wait days. The count should start from Job 1. No one could receive their Bronco sooner.

Didn't the 2021 ordering open in January of '21? So technically you are putting in reservation date and not order date?

exactly right, nobody was waiting for that call for delivery before they started making them for the public. Hell, I've ordered for two model years (so far) and I haven't been expecting a call saying it is ready yet. I might start thinking about wondering when that call might come in the year 2525, if man is still alive...if woman can survive...

No one ordered it 500 days ago. Ordering didn’t start until Jan 20 or 21 of this year.

But even then, no one could get a Bronco before May so it is immaterial whether someone ordered on the 1st day the order banks opened or the magical March 19th.

Counting from reservation date, it is just tacking on additional months when no Bronco could have been procured.

Well, I and a few others will unfortunately wear this badge of dishonor as we are stuck in allocation purgatory. Unless a few hundred order holders cancel, I'm looking at MY'25. I'll play Ford's game with that reservation and continue to order with each passing model year until it is delivered.

You all are getting worked over nothing. Someone was just trying to ask how long people have been waiting since their reservation. Decency is hard to come by I guess anymore.
