I once had a U-haul trailer and had the hardest time parking with it.
Trust me. The first few times it’s frustrating as hell. Then you start figuring it out.

All I would like to say is......... FUCK-n-A, right!!!! We got rid of the family pop-up camper a few years ago as the kids finished high school and we didn't use it much. Wife hates sleeping on the ground (I'm a backpacker), but THIS trailer will let us go remote places and she can be on padded insulated floor and still be able to haul some conveniences of home. Love it.

Not an officially rated trail, but based on my experience, a level 4 Trail- off camber, obstacles, loose rock inclines, 4lo and lockers needed- the Bronco/Mammoth Overland set-up handled it without issue. Trailer weighs
1700lbs dry.

Best part about difficult to reach camping spots- didn’t see a soul for 3 days.

Looking to get into this "world". Lead time on ordering these (I see a "reserve" button on site so I'm assuming they are built to order)? How'd you pick it up or get it delivered. What options would you add for a beginner or would you start stock and add on? Thing looks awesome.

Awesome! Not sure the Lead times- prob quite a few months right now- (here comes the long info……)
I have to say, I’ve been doing this for quite a long time and had a roof top tent (like the dudes above) for over 6 years and will never go back. So many inconveniences with RTTs. They aren’t too bad on a trailer as you can set up camp and take your bronco out still as opposed to a truck where you set up and then have to pack up if you want to go explore. RTTs on a trailer though tend to move around quite a bit when in em. Plus climbing up and down in the middle of the night to do your biz sucks.
-Mammoth has the best standard features for the best price out of any other brand. I did plenty of research. -
21 gallon on board water, solar, 1000k inverter, hot water heater and shower attachment, marine battery, King size mattress, stove, sink, awning, toilet, rack, LEDS inside and out, trailer brakes, Timbren 3500 axles, refrigerator, fantastic fan, all aluminum construction, rock n roll hitch- basically everything you need right out the box (price that stuff separately and you’re adding thousand$)I only added a hitch extension so it will clear the rear tire, and the rear hitch option. I really like the swing out kitchen design as opposed to a slide out.
i didn’t add the heater as we use an electric blanket when it’s cold- but that’s a good option if you live in the northern states.
These guys build airplanes. They obviously have good design and quality.
I picked it up from their factory near Seattle, but they do offer shipping I believe.
Issues I’ve had with it-
-The 2 burner stove needs a wind screen. Any wind (lots here in Nevada/Utah deserts and it’s easier to use a skottle or camstove.
-after 3 days the battery gets pretty drained. And that’s with conservative use. I need to buy a bigger solar panel.
-battery terminals in the tongue box aren’t covered. Nothing has happened, but it freaks me out.

sorry about the long reply!!
DM me and I can answer more questions.

Shorter trailers are a bitch to back. This is especially true after spending a week on vacation with the 30 footer. Get home, start moving stuff around, and Damnit!!

I'm an ultralight backpacker, so my whole camp fits in a backpack, but that looks very interesting. Do you have more pictures of the trailer deployed? I'd love to see what it converts into or has in it for camping and more of your base camp style setup.

Not too many- I don’t like taking pics with all our stuff scattered about- but here’s a couple..

Does the roof expand or is it an awning on top? Is it mostly a bed inside?

Not a pop-top. Standard cabin- with a King Size mattress. Fold down shelf and a pass-thru to the kitchen.

haha! We need to get a group there. Could prob fit 5-6 broncos. Spot is terrific.
Your previous thread in May led me to order the trailer. I was able to speak with the makers in Flagstaff Overland Expo, they very patiently answered all my questions. They even came up with a solution for me, how to squeeze my telescope through the door - turn the door 90deg!
They are doubling the production starting in August so I hope to have it in the winter. Then I can join you :)
