Is anyone else not feeling the body colored fender flares??? Can I take them off when I build it and get a discount lol? I like the black fender flares and it cuts up the color.

I'm leaning on the following colors and specs:

Either Antimatter Blue, Carbo Gray, Area 51 or Cyber Orange
  • 4dr (although 2dr looks badass)
  • High Package
  • 2.7L Engine
  • Leather forever
I am not a fan of the same color fender flairs. I have had a couple of Wranglers and prefer the black genders over the same color as the body. I like the contrast, especially with lighter colors.

Am pretty much decided on ...

Outer Banks
2-Door
Cactus Grey
2.7L
High pkg
Sasquatch

Assuming the prices from the survey are correct, that's looking at $46,755 MSRP before destination, etc. Went to jeep.com and built as close to a facsimile Rubicon as possible, comes out at $50,665.

And will order from Stephens to get under invoice w/ x-plan pricing.

Is that a no-brainer, or what?

Interesting... my XJ has 31s but the door edge (step in) is 21". Seems like they are getting larger tires, but keeping the body lower.
It will be helpful with bigger tires. The Sasquatch’s door sill is about 21” or so, probably 3-4” lower than a wrangler with 35”s. Should make it easier to get in if you don’t have steps with large tires.

I hear you. Certain colors it looks good and certain colors not so much. I believe it takes quite awhile for the greeting to happen. Also I believe it can be fixed pretty easily. Could be wrong.

The body color flares is why we chose the Outer Banks.
I can't get the picture of what a greyed out Chevy Avalanche looks like after a few years out of my head.

Does anybody know if you will be able to delete the steps on the OB?
I think only with a socket wrench. :)

I'm not wild about the running boards we've seen "in the wild", and would prefer a tubular or even a rounded-rectangle version instead. But unless I could sell the stock ones for a good price, there's no room in my budget to swap them out. Hopefully, Ford chooses a nice-looking set.

Who else is on the list for an outer banks?

The wife and I put in for an oxford white 4 door. We plan on getting the 2.7 and the high package. Im a sucker for that huge 12 inch screen.

Oh and of course the modular black hard top roof.

OBX here as well. Want to add:
2.7L
High Package
Modular Roof

MAAY do squatch but at that point I will price out the Wildtrak with mid/high package.

Has anyone had thoughts on waiting and paying cash for a hardtop in the aftermarket sector? I know there will be choices... eventually.

I have never seen aftermarket tops that fit as well or seal as well as factory. They may exist, I just don't know who has made them or the cost.

The same color fender flares with the mirror caps seem like they would look good on the Carbonized Gray painted OBX. I was sold on carbonized gray until I saw the recent photos of the iconic silver painted on a frame. I honestly don't know what i'm going to do about color now.

Best Top is Jeep's OEM supplier.
BTs premium jeep top is a factory peice with enough stitching changes to not be a copy.
They also make replacement tops for other brands.
There is a really big chance that they are also Ford's supplier.

It seems the 2 largest top suppliers are Webasto and Bestop. I think both will be Ford OEM suppliers. I also saw this one from Clearlidz that offer a panoramic front insert. I emailed them and asked if there would be one for Bronco and they replied right away and said it's on their radar and to stay tuned.
