Overland Green Confirmed For 2022 Bronco?

Is it actually confirmed? If so, you could remove the question mark from the title

The only confirmation is the formal name change by Ford North America from Eruption Green to Overland Green. Now, Chris Tess has said that it "IS" confirmed for the Bronco. But if I didn't include the question mark, then there would be 5 pages of people questioning who this dude is. So while we have the official confirmation of the name, we are still left with taking this guy's word for it. Of course, we do know that Levine has tweeted about a Green for MY'22 and we have the Jerry can/camera case color that is a match for the Eruption green (which we as a community initially called it Everglades green). Knowing all this information, linking Overland Green to the Bronco for MY'22 isn't some wild internet speculation. But until there is a formal acknowledgement by Ford, the question mark in the title is a safe hedge.

not to get banned but all these greens remind me of the 1997 jeep wrangler Tj FOREST GREEN. that green looked black in the dark and nice metallic darkish green in light, Absolute beauty. Is the green on the sample thing from the FB photos the same as the jerry can photos from the Fuji camera thing earlier this year? To me, the latest FB photos have too much metallic / gold flake. The jerry can photos looked great. This might be one I have to go see in person.

Well I used the technique from this thread:

Then I changed all instances of 2021 to 2022 and changed the color code according to information available from the paint chip websites for 2022. To my surprise FA code for Eruption Green Metallic worked on a couple different model configurations.

To be clear all of these images are generating directly on Ford's site when priming it with the correct model year and color code? So these images exist and are uploaded on Ford's server, but aren't yet accessible through normal navigation on the site?

If so there's every reason in the world to expect these images to be use on the B&P site for MY22.

If you're on board with the ultra-modern melted crayon paint 1-stage with fake glossy clear, then you're getting your wish as more and more of these Rockstar Paint and Materials employees are picking these horrific paints every day. A51, Cactus Gray and Race Red are already in that boat, albeit Race Red is so intense it doesn't appear to be that type of paint at first, but it is.

Did you need the entire line to be horrific paints that will date the vehicle heavily in 7-10 years time?

Lets be honest, this type of color looks cheap and featureless when new, it will only get worse with time.




^ These colors will be as polarizing and ubiquitous as Spruce Green Explorers were in the late 1990's.

I know this is an old post and I am contributing nothing with my opinion, but I can't express enough how much I hate the green on that Tundra.

Green is bar-none my favorite color, and I am hoping the new color is a forest green, cause if it's the "overweight, doomsday prepper, soccer dad in a shmedium Punisher T-Shirt" green on that Tundra I'm gonna pass.

I really doubt they'd pull the rockrails off the badlands. It does sound like they're doing something creative with the GVWR for MY22, but that would be pretty shocking.
