I recently moved back to LA and am having issues with parking garages with my sas 2DR. Visited a friend the other day that had clearance of 6’ 5” and it was so sketch but I made it.(antenna was hitting every pipe)

The garage for our new office is 6’ 4”… I’m at 6’ 3”. Should I give it a shot?

An inch is cutting it close low on gas ,heavy on air pressure, inaccurate height measurements could all conspire to ruin your day.
I would go into garage with a friend on the weekend when its quiet and have them spot for you as you drive slow .

One to two inches clear is cutting it close. You're relying on someone else to accurately measure every single spot. I've dealt with this for years, and I usually look for 3-4" clear (minimum) or I park somewhere else. Yes that sucks when you're in an urban environment...welcome to driving a taller vehicle.

Ran into this the other day, truck fit in with about an inch to clear. The slight dip in the road on the way out and it just kissed the bar.

A little WD-40 and magic eraser and it was like it never happened.

Have since dropped the tire pressure to 30psi and make sure to keep the gas tank near full.

Update: it was very sketch but I made it. I don’t know if I will go below the first floor.

My garage clearance 1.5". Strongly recommend a stubby antenna. The slapping is very annoying!!!

I work in very modern, brand new, impeccably designed office building in downtown Nashville. I can't enter it with my soft top folded back into the first position (but otherwise fits). I have to constantly remember that.

I had an issue with my '92 FSB several months ago at a LAX parking garage. It sits a bit over 6 ft at the cab. The starter died, and no matter how much I beat on it after a 10 day trip to MT, I couldn't get it to turn over. I was ready to uber 63 miles home and have it towed out of the parking structure when I found no tow rigs would touch the job given the 7 ft beam clearance. Thankfully, in frustration, the last whack I made against the stater loosened up those mags, and it turned over. From now on, we take the wife's Mazda 3 to LAX, lol...

Depends, are you a shower or a grower?

1" is not a lot of room for growth, but at worst you could skip leg day and air down the tires 10psi. I mean, it's LA, how hot could it get where you would need adequate on-road PSI?

Or just swap starters there in the garage.
