Placed my online reservation today for 2022 - Dealer reached out 10 minutes after my entry

I finally placed my reservation today for a 2022. I'm in no hurry, but I was shocked to get a call back 10 minutes later from the dealer on a Sunday. They were just calling to tell me the order process. They would be contacting me in July to firm up order details, production most likely in December or January, delivery in Feb or March. Not holding my breath here, but as I mentioned, not in a hurry. I'm Z-Plan and know the current Z-Plan pricing but curious to see what the 2022 prices will look like. I'm more interested in the new color options and packages that will be available.

Your build will be very interesting to follow, but I do think it's mostly hope (or is that hype? ). I'm a 7/14 1:30 am reservation and I'm going to place my order the minute the 2022 order banks open. After seeing what we've been seeing with the delays for 2021 and the people moving to 2022s, I'd be thrilled to get my delivery in February or March. I also am not holding my breath.

Ford would need to start cranking these things out in big numbers for new reservations to get early 2022 deliveries. I do hope you your dealer is correct though!

Congrats OP. The call alone from the dealership seems to be a win in my book. A lot of members on here have not had good communication from their dealers through the process so its always nice to hear a dealer communicating!

That's exactly why I held off. I'm going to order a modular top, so I know I wouldn't be 2021, but still, I didn't want to mess around with code 99 or changing my order later on. I just want to know what the 2022 options are and then I will give the dealer my exact build.

I just feel a lot more comfortable doing it this route.

1st dealer never even acknowledged my reservation. I swapped it to a different dealership. My sales guy texted me to let me know they got it, but I actually had to threaten to move it a 2nd time to get them to actually order.

Now if Webasto could just figure out how to actually deliver tops for these things.

Congrats. I just put my order in today as well. Technically it’s for the ‘21 but we all know this late in the game it is going to be a ‘22. The dealer told me late 2022 for delivery. It’s going to be a long wait!!

If there’s one thing I learned that might not be the case it all depends on his build soft top 2.3 L non-squatch he might be a 21. Lolol

I'd be shocked if that timeline turned out to be even remotely true, but I suppose it's possible if your dealer doesn't have many other reservations.
