You have any pics?
Three shots, tonight in the garage.
You can see that the rails sit flat against the bottom of the rocker panels, just like factory rails, but also sit against the quarter panels for maximum support.
Middle pic shows the very solid primary frame to slider mounting. And how they dog leg up to sit flush with the rocker panel and bolt on there.
You can also see that they are true boxed 3/16" steel.
Ain't light like the custom made stuff.
But not flexi flyer like most so called rocker protection either.

Body mount Sliders are a non-starter for me, I have seen enough of those damage trucks with a good hit.. Hell even my Frame mount sliders on my Defender damaged the fenders after an over aggressive hit last year. Nothings perfect but solid frame mounting is far superior.

My defenders sliders are coming off this winter to fab up another mount (4 total instead of the current 3), that and I am upping the wall thickness as well on the 2x4 main portion.

I'm looking forward to what white knuckle off road can do with sliders as well as other aftermarket companies. From the factory mine will come with nothing and plastic bumpers to start with.

Body attached would be surprising, wouldn’t it? I took that screenshot from the video posted earlier, isn’t that a mounting on the frame?

I see a lot of cheap sliders that bolt to the body, but plenty of good ones that bolt to the frame. They should also be as wide as the tires, or close to it.

These are what I have on my Tacoma:http://sosoffroadconcepts.com/05-15-tacoma-100-frame-bolt-on-sliders/
I also had SOS Offroad Sliders on my Tacoma and I have them on my ZR2 now. SOS used my ZR2 to build the first set and also built my front bumper.
I hope they can use my Bronco to start another new product line. ?

I hope you get yours early and they get right on it. I want SOS sliders.

The only changes I will make from the ones I have now are to get the plates welded on the top like yours. I really didn't think about it when I got mine, but the sliders with the openings are dangerous to my dogs. I'm paranoid that one will get their leg caught in it jumping in or out.

Well, not impressed with the rock rails. They certainly aren’t sliders and appear to be bolted to the body and not the frame. Hopefully I can sell mine to someone getting a base model. Will buy a decent set of sliders once available.
Don't worry. Have an early timestamp order (hopefully that means something) and real sliders will be out ~6 hours after we take delivery.

Well that just sucks. I knew the floor boards were to the body , but who the heck mounts rock rails to the body?

I'm wondering if you can even use them for jack points.

Had the Randy Ellis Design (RED) lifers on my 4Runner and absolutely loved them. No loss of ground clearance and nothing else to get hung up on. Would also support the weight of the vehicle using a HiLift. I plan to keep the body mounted design beef it up and add rock rails to it.

This topic always comes up on many forums. Every keyboard commando swears that frame mounted is the answer. There are many quality off-road companies that make their living selling rock sliders that bolt to the pinch seam of the body. And they have been in business for many years. If frame or pinch seam rock sliders were a death sentence to the vehicle the companies would not be able to stay in business.

I have used mine as a jacking point and the bar has slid off rocks where the wheels were in the air. My OR-FAB rock sliders have 8 pinch seam bolts and two bolts that mount to the under tub of the body for each side. Good rock rails are very heavy, I think mine were close to 70lbs for each.

Back when I was a young boy, we welded our first set of sliders in the back yard for our 60 series.

I’m pretty sure if you take the truck to a reputable 4x4 shop, they could fabricate something pretty easily.

I am a 4wd parts mfgr. We work with Toyotas (80-series, lx470, 2nd/3rd Gen taco, 3-5gen 4runner, FJ cruiser) and nissans (frontier pictured and xterra), have an f150 an alumni-duty coming in this winter and have 2 Broncos on order - 2 and 4 door. What I mean is I will be making rock sliders as project 1 on day 1.

Also I love 60 and 70 series and have talked about getting into restoring 60s and importing 70s.
