Well i thought i might as well start a thread to Document my adventure's with my forthcoming 2021 Bronco Badlands, 4 Door, Sasquatch, 2.7, 10 speed, soft top w/ prep kit, Lux package, MGV, with Tow in Velocity Blue. Reserved 1/5/21 Ordered 3/5/21 changed to soft top early September 2021 and received my production email 9/30/21 build week of 11/22 and blend date of 11/24.

A little about me to start. i've been off-roading and wheeling most of my life, hunting with my dad when i was super young to wheeling with my cousins. my first car was a 1970 vw Baja that my Dad and I built, and i went all over AZ in it. I've had dent sides, and obs's but for the last 20 years my passion has been wheeling 4Runners all generations except 5th. But I've always loved Broncos! My current daily has been a 1998 4Runner that is set up really well. 3.4 supercharged, 5speed, dual cases, locked front and rear on 35's that will now become our family dedicated Crawler.
Ford Bronco Rockdawg84's Badsquach 21 Adventure and Build Thread "Wild Blue" IMG_0131.JPG

That isn't to say that the Bronco won't be wheeled but I will work my way into major stuff.

Now for the plan, I've already ordered front and rear Advanced Fiberglass fenders that should arrive almost the same time as the Bronco. Will have to fit them and prep them for paint and then get them on. For the interior I have got a BAM BYODR. Because I come from a IFS wheeling background we will look at the suspension when it gets here and make some decisions about mods there but 37's will be in the future for sure.

Mostly though I look forward to all the places we will go and the trails we will run and the people we will meet.

Got some tint. 20% on the front windows is almost a perfect match to the rear. And 70% on the windshield. It made an amazing difference it the brightness coming in but not so dark that there is trouble seeing out at night.

For Valentines Day my beautiful wife and I decided that instead of fighting the normal hustle and bustle of finding a restaurant we would stop and get our favorite Burritos and drive into the hills to watch the sun go down. Cold but great night looking over the city lights and with an almost full moon got to play with some low light photography from our new iPhones.

I was having lunch with a friend so he could see "Wild Blue" and I off handedly mentioned that someday I would go to 37's and He offered to buy my current tires for his truck. Great deal for him and offset the cost of the new 37's. I absolutely love them. Micky Thompson Baja Boss MT's 37x12.5R17.

No lift other than the Sasquatch HOSS suspension. There is just a little rubbing on the frame when turned full lock each way. I think it will be easily fixed with a 1.25" wheel spacer. I was able to find a construction site to try and twist things up some and even with the sway-bar disconnected There was no rubbing in the finder wells. Now with the combination of wheel spacers and true rock crawling I may find some places where we may have to clearance. But So far so good. And I love the look. Drives great and these are no louder than the Goodyears that came on it. I am very happy!

Got out with our Tucson Broncos club and drove up rice peak. Not a hard trail but fun with a little snow still on the ground. Got to just over 6300 feet in elevation before before the snow caused us to turn back. I got to twist up the suspension and only once did I get just the slightest rub on the inner finderwell, this makes me happy.

So I began this week with a text from my good friend who runs a paint shop saying that my @ADV Fiberglass fenders were ready. So I planned to take a full day off work to put them on. As I thought about it I realized that I had several other projects that needed to be done at the same time. @jksmfg body mount chop and @ORACLE Lighting grill letters. So I began by taking the front fenders off and getting to work on the body mount chop. I have to say it went very well. I did it without removing the front bumper and while it made it slightly more difficult but I'm lazy. lol

And once done with that I began to mount the front fenders @ADV Fiberglass . Unfortunately a gust of wind blew the drivers fender over and scraped the paint so back to my friend it went. But I did get the passengers side mounted and hopefully tomorrow I will begin on the back.
