hi all,

looking for aftermarket wheel options for the badlands sasquatch.
i believe the stock sasquatch wheels are 17x8.5 33mm offset
while i've seen fifteen52 and method recommend 17x8.5 0mm offset

any issues with rubbing (assuming stock tires) with the 0mm offset

i'm not looking for poke since my garage is already narrow enough

SAS is +30mm offset so a 0 offset wheel means you will have 30mm of poke which is the same as 1.1811 inches. I run 0 offset wheels on my wildtrak and there is no rubbing.

So I think you may be thinking about it backwards.

A positive offset means the tire is closer to the center of the vehicle. A negative offset means the tire is farther away and has more "poke". The factory Sasquatch wheels are +30mm offset. So 0mm offset wheels will stick out farther than the factory setup.

Both Fifteen52 and Method wheels with 0 offset will have more poke than the factory wheels.

The Icon Rebound wheels come with a +25mm offset, that would put you within 5mm of the OE Squatch wheel offset:

If you plan on doing some off roading, Icon also has the Rebound Pro wheels, which feature a pretty cool beadlocking function that will allow you to run sub-10 psi tire pressures for that extra traction in the rocks, sand and snow.

with 0mm offset, do the tires ā€˜pokeā€™ past the sasquatch flares?

do the alignment specs change with the shift in offset?

1) yes, they will poke 30mm out

2) I donā€™t think so, but if you make a poor offset choice combined with changing tire size you may rub

The width is also plays a factor in determining poke. Assuming all things equal, 0mm should protrude slightly past the flare. +12 or +15 roughly puts the edge of the tread at the edge of the sas flare.

Generally the alignment doesnā€™t change, but other factors like scrub radius does. Handling and tire wear can be negatively impacted from excessive width changes

- they will be slightly beyond the flares. I will take a pic when my wife gets home with the wildtrak
- alignment specs do not change with poke.

The tires on a Sasquatch are tucked in under the flare a little, so you won't see a full 30mm of poke.

Alignment specs do not change, but you will see an increase in scrub radius, basically more tire leverage between the tire centerline and the point at which the ball joint axis hits the ground.

Edit** Just noticed that drawing shows a McPherson strut suspension, not a double a-arm suspension like our Broncos have, but it should give the right idea.

OEM SAS wheels are 35 pounds and that is just extremely heavy.

The wheels below are 24 pounds on my scale

Hey, what's wrong with factory SQ wheels ?

Personally like 'em better than any replacements posted in B6G
No offense intended

Most of the rotational mass comes from the tire that weighs 59+ pounds and the laws of physics dictate that the mass of the wheel matters a lot less because its mass is closer to the center of the wheel hub. Saving 12 pounds on the wheel when the wheel/tire/brake disc/hub/lug nuts have a combined mass of well over 100 lbs isnā€™t going to change much in handling or acceleration, especially on such a slow, high center of gravity vehicle that handles like crap relative to a sports car or sedan. Maybe on a a 911 Turbo itā€™s worth saving 10 pounds of wheel weight, not so much on a Bronco with 33ā€ or larger tires. Of course most 911 owners canā€™t drive them anywhere near their limits so a lighter wheel is likely wasted on them.
