The good part is that it’s close to you. And you can change it by hand. Should be easy to pinpoint while it’s happening. It could just be the shape of that mirror edge. Maybe the fix is one of those canards that you see on an Evo rear window:LOL:

Good point, I wouldn't use VHB (very high bond). They 3m makes tape that isn't as strong.
I used it to mount a few of these to strategic points on my TJ Dash. That way I didn't drill holes where they don't belong and the VHB holds well enough so the weight of the phone and adapter bar/ball moving around off-road don't peel it off the dash and go flying.

Kind of like a BYOD, redneck style. *just the T-rail base, not the paddle holder*

It’s definitely a fitment issue where the plastic housing is not coming together correctly. On the drivers side where whistling is worse, I can move the back half slightly and feel a click like it’s connecting with the mating half, but it doesn’t stay there after a bounce or two. The whistling is not just noticeable, it’s loud, so if you have the problem you’d know it already.
Will definitely make it a dealer issue first time I take it in. And no, they can’t keep it until parts come in...

My first Bronco that I drove has this problem. I too folded the mirror in and the noise went away.

guess these things aren't made to go over 50mph...

even though 99% of the people purchasing them won't ever go off road.

🤷‍♂️
Theres this piece of grass at the drive thru of my local Starbucks that if i technically touch would count as "off-road"

This stuff is one of THE handiest things to have in the shop. Sticks like crazy.
Just make sure whatever you are trying to stick/piece together is EXACTLY where it is supposed to go. There is no repositioning.
helpful hint, spray a little glass cleaner on it just before you put it together and you have about 30 sec. before it sets up.

I got some highway miles in a Badlands and didn't notice this. I wonder if it has to do with where the drives places the mirrors?

This may count. It depends on what Goat Mode your using and if you have any lockers engaged.
There is this curb there...it's a good 3 or 4 inches, it's a risky maneuver but well worth the adrenaline

There was no whistle on the Wildtrak I drove…I wonder if having the mirrors with the cameras and lights of the high package eliminates the problem?

In this video, at 7:40min, you start hearing the whistle. That would drive me crazy.

Wow thats a brutal whistle.

I’m also wondering how creaky all those interior plastic panels are going to get when the weather gets cold but we wont know for quite a few months.

Crisis averted, back to worrying about a crappy roof/leak in the back/G.O.A.T mode glitch
