Mirror Whistle update - possibly fixed

Took delivery of my Big Bend last week. I'll spare the review since it's been done many times.

Mine had the mirror whistle, I say "had" intentionally here...

While looking at the mirror I was trying to see if the seam would flex or close if I pushed the halves together. I heard a "snap" sound and they seemed to come together a bit more. The mirror whistle has now disappeared.

I'll post an update if it comes back, but perhaps some are just not quite pressed together properly?

Thinking I got lucky with mine.

I’ve been wondering about that as most have reported the drivers side isn’t fit as tightly as the passenger side mirror. I was wondering if there are some fasteners behind the glass that need to be tightened and will bring the two halves together. Pop the glass out and have a peek.

I'm going to leave well enough alone unless it comes back. At least I won't need the Gorilla tape I bought as a temp fix now!

Does it sound like it's coming from the seam? Put a little gorilla tape on it and see if that fixes. Temporary of course but worth a try. That was my plan until it stopped.
