Anyone else spend a couple minutes looking into Tuktoyaktuk. Sheeesh. It's on the edge of upper canada. While i call complete BS on the post, I have more questions about how he even got his bronco. I assume shipped on a boat, which must have been expensive as hell. Otherwise, he's like a 1,500 mile drive through the yukon to the nearest ford dealership in alaska, and would had to import. otherwise it's like a 2,000 mile drive to alberta. He may win a prize for the most remotely located Bronco built thus far.
I wonder if he never reserved and just ordered in October '21 and got a build date in December. :ROFLMAO:

I dunno. I'm calling BS on this one. I don't even see how this is possible unless a window was left down or the top was left unlatched.

What the owner said:

The snow is coming in where the soft top meets the frame. The driver side is facing westward. We had west wind gusts of 80+km/hr yesterday. What u see is the results. Everything was shut properly. I'm not going to spend 70g and leave windows slightly open in a forecasted blizzard.

It's a public group so the link should open the story.

lol snow pattern both front and rear clearly show top was down. even with a crack in the window spread pattern would be limited to certain areas of the front drivers side and now evenly spread front and rear lol

I must be really bored. LOL

Just did a little research. Here is the past weather for Tuktoyaktuk. Not really what I would call blizzard conditions. There would have to be some pretty high sustained winds for a long period of time for that much snow to get through the seals as some are saying.

Ya...but who opens the soft top in that kind of weather for any reason???
Anyone here up North knows that even a littler open crack can bring in alot of snow. Especially when it's cold like that the snow easily blows around and infiltrates everything.

I've seen the interior of a pickup look exactly the same with 1 window cracked 1/4" during phase 3 conditions on the north slope of Alaska. Some owners have claimed wind coming in the cabin under strong cross winds, this seems totally possible.

If this is supposedly a defect on one side of the vehicle, why is the snow even on both sides? Snow blowing in should be deeper on the side opposite the defect. Also show all the snow on top of your closed roof. Even with a gust of wind it would be fighting both gravity and snow pack that has fallen on the the roof already.

I know on mine the snow covered the sides along the roof. Making this even less likely. Yes this was a heavy snow but an example.

Once watched a documentary filmed in NWT (where this incident took place). For "fun" a local took a rifle, and shot a hole in the wall of the camp/hotel room where one of the film makers was staying (from the inside out). A blizzard came through and by morning there was a snow drift down the middle of the room. From a single bullet hole.

It's entirely possible that this amount of snow could have been forced in during a blizzard, through a very small opening in one of the roof seals. I'm not saying that's for sure the case here, but it's definitely possible.

Why you would go soft top, in the winter, in the arctic circle... I dunno about that call.

Have you tried with the Bronco softtop?

I work at Ford, on these vehicles daily, and I can assure you that you can. Please try it. Closest to the B-Pillar is the easiest section to reach through
I can jam a screwdriver in the top of a door with a frame and stick a hand in that too, but both scenarios beg the question, why would you? There is a tight seal along the top unless you are looking for trouble and intentionally trying to create an opening. It isn't going to happen by itself and certainly not by chance. Having seen them yourself, you know it is well sealed all the way around.

We got a fist sized snowball in the pass rear window area after our latest snow, no pics though. We're getting good snow but not as windy as before, I'll take a look and see if any more made it inside.

You can totally lift the top from the outside and get your hand into the inside standing next to the Bronco, no doubt some serious blowing snow could make it through as well.... nothing this time, but no crazy high winds either.

When I first saw the headline I thought the owner died inside, "claims owner". RIP genius! :D

I have nothing positive to say about this person...

Hope they got the washout interior.
After posting this BS, I hope they didn't 🙂
