It should fit with room to bang around the sides or flop? ...being a soft shackle.
To be clear I’m not leaving them on and what is a softy gonna hurt anyway if it flopped until pressure was applied?

I bought these a few weeks ago and as they seemed to be a really good bang for buck option. Haven't tested them on the Bronco yet but they do pass the "restraint" test!

I would have to think the 1/2” can fit through here with no issues.

Oh yeah, forgot about the big hole, I'm trying to make sure they'll fit through my 7/8"

Anyone have thoughts about the rear bumper for this? With two tow hooks, is there a point to a hitch mounted shackle? Just softies around the loops would be fine I would think ...?

If I’m stuck and standing in mud, water hole I’m going for the easiest hookup possible 🤣.

You have two hooks in the rear? I’ve just got a solo but yes they would hook up easier there as well. If you look under where the hitch mounts I wouldn’t t be comfortable pulling too much. ESP if using a strap hooked to another rig yanking it. Given the hitch that is rated less than the weight of the vehicle. At least the recovery loop is frame mounted. The hitch is on a cross beam and not real solid looking.

BL got left and right. Maybe BD too? I like the archetype racing rear shackle, but can't justify. Looking for someone to enlighten me, and lighten my wallet.

Yeah you can use the loops with soft shackles and a tree saver in basket configuration or a hitch mounted shackle. It's nice to have the ability to do either.

As an aside, if you're buying recovery gear, I highly recommend getting a tree saver (or any short strap with little to no stretch) with your shackles and snatch strap (or rope). Even if there's not a tree or anything like it where your'e going. You just never know what kind of recovery points (if any) the other vehicle will have, and it can be useful in a number of situations.

All obvious jokes aside, yes, soft shackles are great. Strong and safe. I prefer to use them over a hard shackle.

I definitely believe the frame mounts are safer than the bumper, I recently started following a company called MHI Offroad or Monster Hooks Inc. I seen them this past weekend at a soccer tournament in Temecula, they had a Bronco with completely different tow loops on the back of it, they looks ed amazing!!! I have yet to see them anywhere else, they did mention on their Instagram page a new Bronco part would be released soon, wondering if these are it. I don’t see them on the website

I’ve got a ASR recovery kit. Comes with bag, how to guide that is made out of plastic that can be stored in bag. ASR supplies recovery gear to the military and US based. Spring sale is going on and 10% off. Super high quality and their site is very informative along with great customer service.
