Pass.

I'm going to get this also unless Hotheads has their version out first in order to compare. If they don't have it by ordering time, they'll miss their shot. I'm betting production product will look far better than these early pics.
Hotheads won't have anything until after the owner gets his Bronco

I think you’re right about it being a prototype... hand cut rather than say, production laser cut from a template.

But I couldn’t help but think of this when I saw it:

“So! What do ya think, boss?!”

“I’m not, mad. I’m just... disappointed.”
Gotta be honest if I paid the best 60k for my build and I got this, I'd be pi$$3d off!

I'm sure it's just prototype, but this is just unacceptable. I could chew a straighter line with missing teeth.

That Headliner wouldn't even be Close Enough for Government Work ?

Yeah. The hothead are a multi component layered product about an 1/2” thick.... so it just sits in the recessed areas on the JL.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the shape of the Bronco roof.

The Ford option looks like it will cover more square inches than the hothead just by nature of it being so thin that it can fit under and around things... but the hothead Includes not just the fabric, but sound deadening material and thermal reflective sheet.

It’ll be curious to see a comparison of performance.
Well, if somebody can get me a damn Bronco and this headliner stuff, I'd be more than happy to do before/after comparisons with thermometers and db meters!!!
LOL

The Hotheads looks pretty good from what I've seen here.
If you're serious about making your ride dead quiet,
here's a crash course in sound and heat control in cars.

Yeah, I'll take the overall coverage of this one. Cuts should be better on the production version im guessing. I don't know why this overall picture wasn't included in the original post.

That doesn’t look that bad. I wonder if it helps with interior temperature control?

I understand thickness in the headliner matters, but i also want less uncovered top as well, and that is where this option is much better.

There should be a video on the performance of this sound deadening. It wouldn’t be hard to place a bronco with and without the sound deadening in a noisy warehouse with a good size generator running. Would only take 10 seconds to know if it works.
A thermal test would also help determine its worth.

Guess I’ll have to go with aftermarket on my 4D BD Squatch with 2.7/AT. B&P won’t let me add now. Maybe that will change. I’m a late September reservation MY22 guy.??‍♂

Looks like it was cut out by a 5 year old with "safe to run with" scissors...
