Aren't you concerned somebody will take it?

I mean, taking all 15" should be video taped because they will be jumping all over the back of your Bronco to try and get that thing off, only to find out it's just a camera stalk....

What are we talking about and how do you know it's 15"? Has anybody used an independent tape measure to get an accurate measurement of the camera stalk length?
Well it exceeds the sasquatch tire (12.4" depth)..slightly...as shown in photos. And the bronco lengths are all identical, so that makes sense that the fixed camera pole is considered the "end" of the truck. Also, the sasquatch tire isnt snug to the tailgate, there's probably a solid inch gap. Add all that up, and its 14-15".
My biggest concern is : If you delete the camera stalk and mount the camera on the tailgate - will it screw with the 360 view or "back up parking lines" or whatever.
I have no idea how important it is the camera be X" from the body to operate with the functionality of the SYNC 4

it would be pretty funny if deleting the spare tire results in a big yellow dash light from the TPMS system complaining about the lack of the fifth pressure transducer.

actually, one of my vehicles complains when the spare tire gets low

I want a bumper mounted spare. A camera relocation kit's the fun part of that idea.

Yea spare tire mount (on the tail gate) delete
.....gives more options

I wish Ford put the camera under the bumper or in a tail light or something....

3rd break light is easier to relocate or gamble with a delete

Key takeaway:
Get the spare off the tail gate = more flexibility.

I guess it all comes down to how to solve for the camera.

IF YOU HAVE A SASQUACH - AND WANT TO DELETE THE SPARE :

- WHAT IS THE SMALLEST THING YOU CAN GET TO KEEP YOU ROLLING?

* SO YOU DONT NEED TO WAIT FOR A TOW TRUCK IF YOU GET A PUNCTURE.

1) PLUG KIT, JACK & AIR PUMP
2) FIX A FLAT x 10 cans
3) A 35" SPARE TIRE, behind the rear seats.. (hahahahhahhahaaaa)
4) UBER

5) WHAT ELSE???

even on the road , I sliced the crap out of my tire on the freeway that no kit would fit on a sat , I was glad I had a spare .

I’m kinda interested in a spare tire delete when available.
Two of my cars only came with a can of stuff and a tiny compressor. Does that mean I should mount a spare on the back of them? Or maybe just never drive further than I can walk?

There are plenty of good reasons for a delete. For one that tail gate has been proven on multiple sites/reviews to be extremely cumbersome. Dropping 70-90 pounds off the back may save the hinges and definitely easier to use. Saving spare tire rot is a nice feature. What about that bike carrier now? There’s a bunch more, you get it.

I don’t know if some folks remember that we do have cell phones now. My wife or daughter are not going to change anything and I’ll bet no one will at 5 degrees F. on a snowy winters night. Or maybe your one of those fools changing a tire on the freeway shoulder?

My Hagerty Insurance has guaranteed flat bed towing if I need. But probably won’t since I have never a tire failure while driving in about 1.5 million miles. Is the tire the only thing that can disable a vehicle?

And yes if I ever chose to go deep into nowhere country I would probably put the spare back on, but not going to the Dairy Queen.

I often times don't have a spare in the truck for around town driving. I always put the spare in when leaving town though. Some new cars now don't even have spares in them.

To go without a spare, you need good tires and a good friend willing to go by the house and get it for you if you need it. If your tires are bald, probably hang on to that spare at all times.

Always have a plug kit in the vehicle. There is nothing mysterious or dangerous about plugging tires as long as the puncture is small, like a nail or screw, and in the tread. Sidewalls are another matter, although I have had to plug a punctured sidewall and limp home so I could replace the tire.

Offroad, yes, you need a spare, if not two, plus a means of plugging and airing up.

I'm trying to remember the last time any vehicle of mine needed a flat changed away from home, on highway. It's been many years, at least 20+, since I've had a flat in town. Usually a puncture offroad or a slow leak from a nail that I notice at home. I almost always have a small portable air pump in the vehicle, so I can air up a slow leak and fix when I get home.

EXACTALLY!!!
I NEVWER asked for peoples opinion on delete/keep the spare.
I only wanted advise on the best kit of tools to have if you delete the spare.
This thread devolved with all these weird off topic comments....
So next time just ask for advice without the backstory. If you had asked something like; what are my gear options for fixing a flat without having to use the spare; then the responses would probably have been more on target. This a lesson learned for me.

I have a tire puncture kit and portable compressor that is always in my 4x4. That has served me and others many times both around town and on the trail. Heck, one time we stuffed about 8 plugs in a sidewalk tear for a stranger. Unbelievably, it held air and got them back to town.
