Can you expound? My light clears ok.
Expound? Hmmmm....

I have 37" KO2s. They fit on the spare tires 3rd brake light but, this light is close to the top of the tire. I added a bumper to resolve that. See earlier in my posts.

Oh I see. I'm talking about the bumpers at the bottom of the tire. I have good clearance around the light/bracket.

There was another post of installing a wheel spacer on the tire carrier to allow more room.

Finally got my spare on. These things are massive. Much thicker and longer, and harder too. *snicker*

Had to trim the nipple off and drill out to use the oem fasteners. Then trimmed the excess length off at an angle to fit the shape of the tire better.

Is this something I will need to anticipate being an issue as well? I just upgraded to 35's, and will be installing a relocation kit this weekend.

Also....this gave me a chuckle

Thank y'all for doing the legwork on this one. Tentatively planning on going from the 315/70r17s to 35x11.5 Toyo AT3s as soon as I can rationalize ditching the goodyears, I'd hoped it would be a small enough width change to not need to mess with this, but good to know there are proper solutions in the event I'm wrong!

Here is the other one...it just arrived. I believe we have two options from Ford for our particular applications. Long and short(er).

They have a nipple on them that's supposed to plug in but it's too big. I shaved it off, drilled a hole, and used the original fasteners.

That sounds about right, I went the other way. I went from an Outer Banks spare to a Badlands spare and calculated I needed the cut 7/16 off of those (Outer Banks) bumpers for the Badlands tire to fit.
Was that the right amount? I’m moving from the black steelies on my BD to 33” tires and want to make sure I trim the right amount.
