Interesting info here since I like the look but I’m a bit concerned about the compromise. How easy is to change the gearing for the BD? City driving is ok but I always felt that it should be much better

I'll be changing my gears soon to 5.13s, but there is no easy way.
Probably the easiest to go lower than the stock BD gears is to find takeoff axles from a squatch package. The rear axles may be pretty hard to get that way, but now that the D44 upgraded axles are available, there will be more takeoff M210s with 4.70s on the market.

I'll be getting the D44 M210 with locker up front and changing out the gears in my rear M220. Won't be cheap.

I also was looking at my stock BD tires and thinking wow, they're not that small but for some reason they look tiny 😂.

Went with some Kenda Klever R/T (D rated) 35x10.5x17. Love that look and they feel great.

Also installed some SAS Bilstein take-offs for ~1inch of lift. Tires provided ~2inches of lift.

@orion @Tall Dude @B Miller @tractorcrusher @Moto26 Thanks for the info. Your rides look great.

Any issues fitting the spare with the stock rear bumper? Did you use a rear tire spacer like this one from RTR, do some minor trimming or was it a perfect fit? I’m leaning towards the Toyos in 285/75R17. Did you have to relocate the brake light?

My third brake light just touches the tire and I cut roughly 1/4" off the rubber bumpers that the tire sits against.

Same my 3rd brake light hits the spare but I didn’t remove or modify anything to get if to sit flush.

Steelies is what should of came with every trim level! They are way better looking than any of the Bronco wheels.

My brake light fit but rubbed, so I did get the extension. I had to cut the two rubber bumpers down 1/4-1/2inch for the tire to fit square to the tail gate.

The Everglades rims might have something to say about that, but other than that, steelies hands down.

I have those exact tires, and the brake light is fine, but I did trim about 10mm off the rubber bumpers with a razor knife. Fits perfectly with the slightly wider tire.

Steelies are cool, no doubt. But I'm partial to my alloys... 😋

I ordered mine from Walmart.com. I believe these just come in one spec.

Your tire/wheel combo has a nice fit in terms of width under the flares. I'm not familiar with that wheel make, do you recall the offset?

Yep! It’s the BD optional alloy, same 17x7.5 with +55 offset as stock steelies and BB rims.
