Dropped off the BaseSquatch for its first oil change and decided to take a gander at what the had on the lot.

First off a USED base 2-door with the auto tranny and 2.7L V6. MSRP on this was maybe $30-$31k.

The only thing that will stop it is when people stop paying the ridiculous prices and lot rot and flooring charges put the hurt on the dealer

In PA they're usually around a $20K mark-up for a used Badlands or Wildtrak.
On BAT, they're getting anywhere from $10-17K over MSRP. Most of the higher end models are going for the higher amounts.
It's a bit crazy how much they're going for, I agree.
Raptors are selling for around $115K with a mid-$70's MSRP.

Cost likely a bit higher even with no other options than the trans and 27L. My base with auto trans as only option was $33,890. 2.7L option would push it up between 35.8K and 36K. A built with just those two options on today's configurator comes up with 37.3K. Still a long way to the 49K they are asking.

True. I forget that they increased MSRP between MY21 and MY22.

My wife and I went to a local dealership north of Tampa this past Sunday since we hadn't even sat in one yet. Dealer had 3 out front, one of which was a beautiful race red Badlands 4 door. Did some basic chatting with the salesman regarding how long an order may take and if they're charging ADM. 15k ADM on every Bronco. I said wow, that sucks to which he replied "well, we are going to keep charging it since people are paying it" ...

As long as my dealer sticks to their MSRP deal and I get my "Private Offer" aka, price protection of $2,845 I'll be happy. I missed out on the full PP by 6 weeks but MSRP minus $2,845 is way better than paying an extra $25k in ADM.

In a way we are "getting rewarded" with MSRP with PO/PP for waiting and it's nice to know our Broncos aren't depreciating 40%-50% right after we drive off the lot too.

In Minnesota, well at least South Central, most dealerships are only up-pricing a couple thousand dollars on used. And again most charge exactly what you signed for on an"ordered" model. Mine added a 300 dollar 3rd brake light flashing feature that is supposedly safer than standard 3rd brake light. But we can live with that. On the downside, little is understood regarding the price protection, so that is still a work in progress. But, when they order specialty or high performance vehicles for their own inventory, that's when the ADM is visible.
JMO, but we walked out satisfied to pay really close to what we thought we'd pay after waiting 20 months.

The demand is still exceeding supply in most areas of the country for many new vehicles and a lot of Americanā€™s spend beyond their means when it comes to cars/trucks/toys. My salesman told me they just sold a Braptor at my dealership for $133k. They had it listed at $149k on their floor and it was gone in two weeks.

I wanted to buy a C8 Corvette 18 months ago but the ADM was too high and I didnā€™t want to wait 12+ months. The ADM and wait time on those has come down significantly but Iā€™m now over even wanting one for at least another few years, I bought a couple of snowmobiles instead that I can legally drive faster than I desire.
