Lux or Tow? As of this morning, I was told the major hangups are MIC tops, 2 doors (comprehensively), Tow, Lux, and Squatch.Contacted our dealership today and we got moved from 6/28 to 7/26. No heads up from Ford per usual.
1st night reservation. 4 door OBX 2.7
MIC Top. does this mean we get moved in the allocation at the dealership? Or does this just mean everyone is moved back? We were #11 originally.Lux or Tow? As of this morning, I was told the major hangups are MIC tops, 2 doors (comprehensively), Tow, Lux, and Squatch.
How did you get a delivery ETA already? I didn’t bother asking the Ford rep earlier today for that.I had the same thing happen, 7.5 to 7.9 and 7.13 eta. I may get mine before my off roadeo trip late July. No clue how it gets built Friday and shipped in 4 days, but it’s only about 150 miles.
These are the commodities that are currently causing delays in certain configurations being scheduled. You won't "lose your place" in line so to speak, as your unit will be built once parts are available to be blended into production. However, other units (including lots of 4 door soft tops without tow, lux, or squatch) will be pulled ahead if that's what they have parts to build.MIC Top. does this mean we get moved in the allocation at the dealership? I get that, I would just have it prior. I am flying in Austin from MI as well.Never gonna happen, but it’s fine because you don’t use your own vehicle in the Rodeo
My dealer just gave me the data from the system. I am not particularly worried, just found it odd. They have been pretty open about updates and that was the first time they mentioned ETA.How did you get a delivery ETA already? I didn’t bother asking the Ford rep earlier today for that.
Ross...on the 2-doors, do you think its a "pace" issue (only building a few/day)...or do you think 2-doors are stalled in the gate?I was told the major hangups are MIC tops, 2 doors (comprehensively)
Biggest hurdle is tops, especially now that the floorpan issue has been addressed. If they schedule and sequence a bunch of 4 doors, they can adjust the ratio of MIC and soft tops within that group as dictated by roof supply. If they schedule a bunch of 2 doors, they don't have that option.Ross...on the 2-doors, do you think its a "pace" issue (only building a few/day)...or do you think 2-doors are stalled in the gate?
Appreciate your insights. I've got a 2-door VIN & July 15 build-date. I'm trying to read the tea leaves to understand if Ford's scheduling so far reflects MIC avail - or whether to expect more bumps. If they schedule a bunch of 2 doors, they don't have that option.
