Thoughts on capable vs modular?

Both of these are steel.

Looks like plastic pieces on the capable to me, around the fog light, around the tow hooks, etc... I may be wrong but that's what it looks like.

I'm looking at the price list and the numbers are different than that posted. Trying to figure out why, they are are also called different.

I don't see a selection for a roof rack in the materials released . . . only "roof rails", is that what they meant? Maybe we get the roof rails and then an aftermarket rack that attaches to the rails?

The Capable bumper (above) will be standard on Black Diamond and Badlands, replacing the current Heavy-Duty Modular default.

Do we know how those fogs are wired? To an aux switch or are they a push button activation type near your light control?

I expect they will be wired like factory supplied fog lights are normally wired. In this case, to the light switch with the fog light push button, just like the standard bumper fog lights.

I like the look of the modular bumper better as well.
But I see myself getting an aftermarket bumper at some point no matter which bumper I go with.
So may stick with the capable bumper for the fog lights and switch on the dash to go with it.
Even though I don’t like the look as much.

This is exactly what I decided to do as well. Hell even if I eventually replace the fog lights at least I'll have the factory wiring and switch so it'll be easier and I wouldn't have to use any of the AUX switches for this task.

I did not know this.
So where is this printed/did Ford relay this to us at some point?
I know I’m going to have to explain this to my dealer and will need supporting documents.

I have re-ordered my 2022 badlands and the dealership will receive a voucher from Ford motor company specifically in my name to cover the up charges to replace the modular bumper.

Not an option. Modular is an option.

why is the 2022 Configurator showing the Badlands with the Capable bumper having hooks like the plastic bumper and not D rings? Is this just a mistake on the site or is it different than the other images we've seen?

I wouldn’t rely on the B&P renders too much. They have the capable bumper in the Riptide concept
