All these worry warts should go to Europe for a week and force themselves to drive on the autobahn...then thell realize how everything moves at a ”safe” snails pace here in USA, and appreciate the roads with higher speed limits. Ignorance really is bliss.

My 2dr begins to feel a little "light" and unstable over 80. So I try and keep it there or below on the freeway.

It's not about going fast, it's about going fast safely.

1) Should be done in a vehicle designed for it, that vehicle isn't a Bronco.
2) Should be done in a place designed for it. That place isn't the Turnpike or any public roadway in the US. The aforementioned Autobahn, sure. The track, sure.

They, and law enforcement also love when people post about their exploits on social media.

Let’s see… I know I’m not in law enforcement anymore but based on what’s readily available, on here…first name given… check. Vehicle descriptions… check. Location…. Check. Description of incident…. Check. I’m not on Facebook or other places, but most people are, so other things are likely very easy to determine using available open source materials and likely find additional supporting evidence.

Easy enough to identify the OP and charge if they wanted to. Or like you said, after an incident (thank goodness nobody was hurt here) it’s a slam dunk in a lawsuit or criminal trial.

Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

To be clear... My outing at 120mph took place in México on an approved, closed course section of highway...

Absolutely legit and thanks for using common sense and venues appropriate for the activities. I was referring to those that would do such things on public roads and then posting pics, videos, bragging, etc.

Legitimate events, venues, vehicles matched to the activities… doesn’t get more perfect or more fun!

Yea I’m not to worried about it. It wouldn’t be the first time I got a speeding ticket and not the last. A few hundred dollars isn’t gonna ruin my day.
I love when people only worry about the money for a ticket. Not the costs of a catastrophic incident. Good luck! Hope a ticket is indeed the worst thing you have to face from it

Who are you any way? Fuckin' Sammy "I can't drive 55" Hagar?

That's why Jeeper Creepers have that safety design feature called Death Wobble to slow their asses down

I likec to fantasize that dropping my 2D Base, tuning the 2.3 and some summer sport tires would make the Bronco handle better than the old F150 Lightnings, GMC Syclones and Typhoons and let me scare the hell out of a few WRX drivers.

Here you can buy a $39 tire and blame the manufacturer shit your pants when it fails at 144 MPH.
Yeah, I mean, *ahem* who has ever done that? 👀

I once bought tires ( Mohawk was the brand name) that were so cheap, the dude putting them on the rims held his hand over his ears as they were being inflated in cased they popped.

True , but there are an entirely different set of rules and regulations while driving on the autobahn. One basically obeys and understands race track rules to a degree while driving there.

Out of curiosity, what makes the governor kick in to limit your speed? Does it go by mph or rpm? Is there a way to change the limit or eliminate it with forscan? I believe you can use forscan to correct your speedometer by changing the tire circumference. Could you enter a smaller circumference to trick the speedometer into thinking you’re going much slower so it would allow a higher top speed?
Nothing like HP tuners to eliminate Speed regulators
