Getting away from planetary gear sets also let's you spin the assembly faster. Lot of early planetary reduction boxes had issues with burning up.

Really need someone to build a doubler so we can figure what is the limiting factor in the current transfer case.
Yep, the early Tera 4low kits for the 231's had 3k RPM limit & a couple guys in our club found that the planetary gears would let loose. Most of us made the jump to Atlas when that started to surface.

Does anyone know the output shaft spline count for the 2 available Transmissions?
Unfortunately, most doublers are going to be planetary gear systems. I would rather go to a 4.3 or possibly a 5.0 Atlas and use the transmission gears.

Both the 10R60 and 10R80 are 31 spline output. dont have 7-speed info.

I recently got stuck in my parking lot trying a few things out. My landlord had to pull me out.

I’ve seen it throw a fit when using 4x4 and there’s an appreciable difference in speed between the front and back tires

You need to get a code reader and get codes as soon as it happens to see what is causing your issue. I see that you have asked about this a few times, wheel speed sensors errors and or heat is most likely issue but won't know until you read codes as it happens.

Get a Bluetooth ob2 code reader and forscan lite. This is the obd2 adapter I got...

Thanks appreciate it. Do you think it will pull up a code while it's happening?

You should be able to see what caused the issue...

I've yet to have any issues with mine since January 2022 so don't really know. Others might chime in...

Last winter mine would show codes - wheel speed mismatch or some such (something hiccuped with my FAD and the front right tire wouldn’t engage in 4wd - but it wouldn't know / throw the code until the rear end started spinning out but front wheel didnt move), which turned into wheel speed sensor when I broke one troubleshooting
