Just got an email from my dealer with these pictures attached. Black Diamond arrived with “transport damage”. Can’t get any further information other than it is going to at least require a new hood and grill.

Normally I would just refuse the order and place another order in this situation or take a significant discount on the sale price but for all the obvious reasons that won’t be happening with this so any advice would be appreciated.

Looks minimal. Accept, have them fix it, and get a nice chunk of that Customer Satisfaction fund!

Transport insurance must be astronomical.

Yeah I don't see what's wrong with just getting the hood and grille repaired/replaced. It's not like there's going to be structural damage.
I quite agree - those are pretty replaceable parts. Not that I WANT any damage - of course not - and i agree, in another case I'd just say "I'll order another, thank you very much..." - but in this case, I've been waiting so long...

Sucks but not the end of the world like the totaled FE.

Mine had a fingernail tip size scratch from transport that I would have missed but the dealer noticed. I got a repair estimate, $600, and they were going to literally tear the right side apart. I said forget it, I wouldn't do that no matter who was paying for it. Dealer is sending touch up paint.

Yeah this is exactly what happened to me. I really had to look at the pics to make sure they weren’t mine (see below).

I believe what is happening here is that if a bronco is behind another bronco on the truck or train, and if one gets loose, the rear-facing camera mount on the rear tire assembly will jam RIGHT into this location.

I took delivery, and my dealer has the replacement parts on order. When they come in in a month+ (thanks Ford!), the dealership is gonna fix it.

I still absolutely freakin’ love my Bronco.

Wow! Crazy to think they haven’t solved this problem already. Glad that’s all it is though. Looks like I need to check the back on it too for damage.

That sucks a lot seeing that we have all have been waiting so long to receive our Broncos in to get this on top of everything else but to give you some advice just recently I was talking to my sales agent there at Taylor Ford and I wanted to do unwrapping of my bronco as soon as it got off the truck but he had suggested not to do for insurance reasons, he said that they are obligated within the first 12 hours to report any damage found during transportation so they can report it to Ford and get a refund for any repairs. So basically let the dealership handle the repairs you still have your bronco and they should be able to get the refund and they don’t lose out on money and you don’t lose out on money and I’m sure you can work something out with the dealership where they give you some kind of discount somewhere for the inconvenience this has caused and they’ll be able to do a insurance report to Ford and get money back anyways.

If this happens to mine, I am gonna apply the hood replacement money towards a new ADV Fiberglass Ram Air Hood.

I just finished watching the most recent TC Customs video on YouTube and he’s got maybe a half dozen Broncos damaged exactly like these sitting at his dealership waiting on repairs. He mentioned they were all damaged in transport. No that we need anything else to be paranoid about.

When damages happen like this the carrier is charged for the damages.
