I too prefer the lower “belt line.” Looks much more like an EB.

Honestly, I have zero sympathy for complaints from people who have obviously never sat in a vehicle like this (Jeep Wrangler) before.

What did you think this was going to be?

Here’s the field of view on my JK

D54C7FB9-7C9B-42D7-BF4D-A8B13DBBA3C5.jpeg

And here’s what I can see out the back:

7DE2E982-6C68-440E-BDCC-D86F96A1ACE7.jpeg
It’s like the pillar to pillar comments or middle back seat!

I measured my wife’s Audi Q5 and pillar to pillar it’s “maybe” an inch wider! The middle back seat is 12-14 inches depending on how generous you want to be with the tape measure!

I’m 6’3” and when I put the seat back nobody is sitting behind me unless I move it forward a bit or they’re a child.

It’s an off road SUV to compete with the Jeep. It’s not competing with a Suburban!!!

IF no one replies with an actual photo of the measurement...I'll be at SCE tomorrow and bring a tape measure.
Put this puppy to bed.
And agreed with all the above Camaro and 71 Mustang posters. Been in and driven both.
I'd like to see your Camaro/Mustang and raise you a Miata. The guy who ante'd up the Chrysler 300 is also showing a strong case. Watch him. He has a Pontiac Solstice or Honda CRX up his sleeve, I think.

... In the meantime, people who are over 6' tall have been fitting in just fine.
While the OP is being hyperbolic, it is an issue of the height of the glass or greenhouse, not of the cabin height.

I can tell just looking at the stock images this design suffers from modern safety constraints drastically limiting visibility compared to vehicles of the past. I'd be more than happy to give up some safety points for more glass and better visibility.

When I'm driving around I'm not staring at the clouds or sun so all the snarky "you'll have good visibility with the roof off" responses are just as stupid as the OP's claim.

Just sat in 2 at Walnut Creek Ford.

Visibility sucks.
There's maybe 6" between the dash and bottom of the rearview mirror.
Side and back windows feel small too.
Overall feels dark and small inside.

I'm still keeping my order.

Visibility sucks compared to what? An EB? A wrangler? An explorer? A Bugatti veyron?

Context friends!
okok, maybe my eyes are not correct - BUT just for fun, I would now like the number...... let's see if we can dig that up. Now I just gotta know
and, I didnt "just stop in" - I've been on this forever.
AND, I'm not a "troll" (keeping my order) - I'm expressing an opinion & experience. You dont need to erase that by labeling me.
it can not be worse than a FJ CRUISER, I drove one for 11 years and visibility is bad. you can not see traffic lights when waiting at a red light, you have to duck your head down to see if light is changed. So i doubt its as bad as that.

Came here to say this. My brother had an FJ and it was a nightmare. I am 5’9” and thought the visibility was great.

It actually is about 6 inches from the dash to the mirror. Just sat in a couple 4drs and a 2dr. The 2dr does feel a bit smaller than I expected (still getting the 2dr) but not disappointing to me. I was wholeheartedly set on shadow black... but damn the AMB, VB and Race Red look good.

My old Series Land Rover is bad in that regard. As if looking out of a tank opening, lol. You can't see any high overhead stoplights. I'm actually thinking about going the Defender route, and removing the section above the windshield (see arrow).
