So, this seems to be a great example of why a tail gate reinforcement is needed for larger tires. Thoughts? It looked like the tailgate buckled pretty quick - but yes he did send it quite forcefully.

Good example why a bumper carrier is better. Stronger but can also allow flex. One thig I have seen often is a hitch stinger or basically a bar out of the hitch so that hits before the tire. Only possible problem with that is you can now bend the frame on a hard enough hit.

Hold up there. Many of us have wives who don't care what we do with our toys. My wife looked at the two dented fenders and the dented window frame on my Bronco and just said I need to use the chainsaw more. She couldn't care less. Some folks need better relationships if breaking something while out having fun makes the other one pissed.

How do they handle these guys that won't listen to the spotter?

I made a joke about ‘sending it’ at Off-Roadeo to the trail guide and he sternly told me to “go ahead and park the Bronco and walk back.” He seemed pretty serious.

After watching the video, I went and checked my setup. Running 37s on -12 offset wheels it appears that on the right incline my tire would hit before my bumper. Good throttle control or not I don’t want the tire being first point of contact
