As of 9/6/2022 my Credit Union is 2.99% for 84 Months, no credit loan(don't even run a credit check),nothing down, good for 30 days(come on Ford!).

Can only have one of these loans at a time, but very much worth it!

Have things really gotten that out of hand with interest rates? I picked mine up December of '21 and I got 2.09% for 72 months with Bank of America.

I got a rate of 3% for 72 months at Mutual Savings Credit Union back in July. That was with FICO 840 and nearly 50% down. Their rates have actually dropped to 2.75% starting in August and remained same through present.

Would you mind sharing what credit union that is? Lol. I’m in Texas and I’ve got a build date, so I’m starting to look around to see who may be best to finance with. I don’t mind opening an account with someone to do so. 🙂
Any luck on finding a good Texas CU?

My salesman told me about Randolph Brooks. I checked out their rates, and they were around the same, if not lower, than other credit unions I found. They are at 4.49% up to 72 months and jump to 6% at 78 months. Let me know if you find something better! 🙂

Edit: Jeez..just saw some comments before mine and realized I am either pretty bad at searching or Texas credit unions just don’t have great rates right now. 😆

I'm surprised at how many people opt for 72 and 84-month loans. I couldn't sleep at night. LOL! My last vehicle payment was in 1995, and it took everything I had to bring myself to finance a Bronco. I have cash to buy it outright, but opted to pay 45% down and my goal is to be out from under the balance in under 24 months.

I’m going with 2.49% this Saturday on a 5 year with my local credit union. Marcus Bank is paying about 2% on their savings accounts so I’d rather keep my cash there as I will be getting a better rate than what I’m paying sometime in the next 9 months.

3 year is still under 2% (with good credit of course)

I’ve been leasing new cars for over 10 years so maybe things have changed?

Texas Tech Federal Credit Union. I got 2.49% 3 months ago. Avg credit. My dad got 2.49 just 2 weeks ago.

My daughter was looking at an new Explorer. Said Ford was offering 0% at 60 months and 1.9% at 72.

I have never heard of a dealer being able to force you to use their financing. That doesn't sound right unless you signed something saying you would use them when you ordered. I guess if you did and didn't realize it you could always refinance with your credit union the next day

Ford isn't selling you a Bronco. The dealership is. It doesn't matter where the money comes from, your bank or theirs. But they prefer to use theirs as they make more money in the loan. Get approved somewhere else before you go in. Then you can bargain with them better.

Yep. Just saw an ad from Ford for 0% on Explorers and 2.9% on F150s.
