My other cars are the fast cars. Although, on the highway I will open the Bronco up a bit...and watch the oil temp climb.

Same here, makes me nervous when it gets above 210F

Oil temp climb too rapidly and gets too high. Needs a better (aftermarket) oil cooler.

I have to drive to the places I wheel. With the 2.7 I use the cruise control to get the best gas mileage. I usually set it at the posted limit. Plus it's always in the back of my mind that if it gets any damage, who knows how long it'll take the dealership to fix it(My SIL's Ranger has a tranny problem(computer), and it's at the dealer until mid January, since beginning of December!).

Seems like I'm always zooming past Bronco's out here in Cali. On the freeway, Bronco's are usually in the slow lane, or in the middle lane driving below the speed limit. On the street, it seems like they're all in Eco mode, just trailing behind everyone. If I didn't own one, I'd think they were underpowered and slow.

This isn't me driving fast either. Between the freeway and street, I'm usually at 65-75/35-45.

I guess I’m one of those old slow guys in a Bronco, when I driving around town yep speed limit is the rule. On road trips a little different left lane 10 mph over speed limit just enough to keep from getting run over and cut off by the weavers, if I’m on two lane road I will move over for ya three lanes or more screw ya drive around sorry just the way it is

but I’m also good with my time and don’t need to rush to get anywhere.
This is the mindset that bugs me ... if you're driving fast, it MUST be because you're running late.

Bullshit.
I'm never late.
I'm just a competent driver.

55 is mind numbingly slow. I'd drive considerably faster than I already do .... if it were not for this thing called high risk insurance.

State Farm, (and some other majors) consider anything 15mph (or more) over a "major violation" and regardless of your driving history, just one of those tickets will immediately put you on high risk for the next three years.

Ask me how I know. 🤬

So, for me now, almost always 13 over is my max.

Its usually jeeps that are laid back cigarettes (if you catch my drift).

Im a speed devil, got no patience for slowmo’s, and since I got my Morimoto headlights, everyone just gets outta my way to begin with.

they really need to teach people to drive, no one knows how to anymore, like theyre gonna die if they actually accelerate instead of coast
A bit of irony that a "speed devil", posting about blinding folks with headlights and how everyone needs to "get out my way" is ranting about how others need to be taught how to drive.

I lived in the mountains and I had a Tacoma with the same engine/tran, it was great in the mountains, but the Bronco is much quicker. The Toyota's can go 85 MPH on hwy and only loses 2 MPG, but the Bronco drops twice as much or more. It also has 300HP compared to 190HP so there's that.

Oh and over 1k lbs more in weight.
Forced induction is very helpful in higher altitudes vs NA.

In all of my cars that is close to or even below normal operating temps. You need 220F to burn some deposits and vaporize any trace water in your oil. Full synth has higher operating temps

I drive a 2 DR Base with M/T. I drive slowly as this variation is a rarity, so it’s my privilege to share it with folks.
