Not trying to be a dick, but I just don’t get the “must have” with the signature lights. The standard lights are LED as well. Why so important?

To me it is not so muck much the sig headlights as it is the LED tail lights. They look so muck better.

Hopefully all the really confident people aren’t blind sided when their color of choice is dropped for 2022 or the price goes up like after the first year of the new Vette...
Funny, in my mind it's the 2021 buyers that have all the confidence. I'm waiting exactly because I lack confidence.

I mean "about the $" is not a wrong assumption, but my guess is it's not as greedy of a ploy as you think, more of a misdirection. I'd bet that the high/lux prices are pretty close to being 'at cost' pricing, and that the markup where they actually turn a profit on it instead of breaking even is the trim upgrade cost (to OBX/BL/WT or for that matter base-bb with mid).

In a capitalist economy, if a company ever makes consumers pay only for exactly what they need and no more, they have failed and will soon be surpassed by a competitor that succeeds at 'up-selling'.

My advice; just learn to love/use the crap you think you don't need.

There are automakers that let you customize to ANY degree you want; sabretooth tiger leather seats, remove all the sound insulation, chrome-plated body, straps instead of door handles to save 20 grams, etc. But they all cost several times the price of a Bronco.
But like....why remove the Signature LEDs from the BD? I mean, come the fuck on, really?

BD has MGV seats.

Your predicament is exactly the reason I'm waiting a couple years before getting a Bronco. Ford is teasing features in bundles that have too many unwanted features.
You are going to deprive yourself the joy of a vehicle you want because the options configuration doesn't 100% suit your desire? That seems strange.

some people will not be happy no matter what. Even those that wait will find something they are not happy with.

I am totally fine settling for a BB with 33s that I get aftermarket. I just can't, for the life of me, understand why Ford would remove Signature LEDs from the BD trims, and then force you to get SAS for Advanced 4X4 for the BB. Besides just money.

That is just a dick move.

I'm sorry, I just can't be cool with that. I know it's not a big deal to some. I know it's not going to affect anything, really. But to make 4A for BB dependent on SAS, and then remove Sig OLEDs from BD....it just feels like Ford is saying "Yea, you want these cool things? Spend more money chump....you want that 4A on the BB? You have to get SAS - also, no Vinyl for you. Oh, you don't want SAS, but want the nice LEDs? Sorry, fuck you....you have to pick a different trim, and then spend more money."

Exactly. For money. It sucks, but they are in the business of making money. I think how they did the trims is rather stupid with how some trims have stuff and as you go up they take stuff away. They may add the stuff you want down the road, but my guess is that you will be paying heavily for it cause if the bronco is as popular as they hope prices will go up.

Well I don't see how it is 'complicated' . . . pretty simple actually. There are things you can get, and things you can not get. Maybe everything does not make sense but in a first run vehicle it is understandable that every combination is not available . . .

I couldn't be more excited about this Bronco, and I think Ford knocked it out of the park.

Yep. In this example, your only get hash browns with pancakes or two eggs. Toast only comes with omelets. Syrup is an upgrade, and gravy is late available. Ham with three eggs, bacon with one. No meat with two.
Welcome to Denny’s a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, here are the breakfast specials: Try our grand slam (but you can’t have a drink) your choice 2 eggs (but order sunny side up & you loose the syrup on your pancakes). Bacon & sausage are the same price but if you want ham it’s an extra $7.99 now can I get you all started with some drinks (again no drinks for those of you who are ordering the Grand Slam)?

I don't understand all the whining and hand wringing, acting as if Ford owes you/us something.

Buy it or don't buy it, but stop complaining about it.
And that's fine. But I don't get messages like these. Should we not complain when consumers are getting bent over backward, trying to get the best Bronco for them? If you are happy, and love your options - good for you. I'm sincerely happy for you. But not everyone has 50+ k to spend on a truck. Complaining is a good thing. Just like competition is a good thing. Bringing value to your customers is a good thing. It makes products better.

I’m going to enjoy my BD 2 door with the manual 2.3, steel wheels and never look back.
