Alrighty, we are balls deep into winter here in Minnesota... People in cold locations, how are the soft tops holding up in the cold?
I have a soft top ordered so I am curious.

Utah here, we only had a couple decent storms, and mine is a garage queen... however, any time I was out in the snow or just cold weather, it did just fine. Remote start for a couple minutes, let the engine warm up, and then head out on your daily drive. The soft top does just fine keeping heat in. I asked the kids in the back seat how the temp was in the back, and they said they were plenty warm.

Suburbs of Chicago here. So far so good. Have had very minimal snow, some freezing rain. So far no issues. Couple of days with sustained 20-30mph winds little noisy on those days. It was 8* when I left this morning with windchill of about -9. Heated seats worked great, auto climate control set to 70 and it was nice and comfy inside about ten minutes into my drive to work.

Back window has been a pain in the ass to keep clean with all the salt on the roads despite lack of snow.

Wonderfully. North central Wisconsin and no issues at all. It was -12 this morning air temp and warmed up quickly. I never even considered a hard top. No thanks.

The soft top has really surprised me. I was concerned with the fabric's ability to hold up to the salt in New England but it's been a champ. No salt stains, and washes clean with water only.

Also, it's much quieter and warmer than I expected.

There’s some pictures on this forum showing tons of snow on top of Bronco’s with soft tops, without issue.

My concern is long-term weight like that may see some sagging in the fabric. Too early to tell, but something to consider.

I know it's probably not recommended but I got a little desperate and put a little spray wax on all three of the windows with a microfiber towel and it has done wonders to keep them cleaner.

I'll pile on and agree that I've had no complaints with my soft top in single digit snowy weather.

This is one of my concerns as well. I live in NY with no garage unfortunately so I appreciate any feedback as well.

Totally fine - the soft top tech has been figured out for quite a while; however Michigan has been exceptionally windy this winter and driving on the highway during 40mph gusts has been DEAFENING

No problems in cold and snow, even took it out with a -30 winchill and it was fine.

I’m on the CT and NY boarder. Zero issues with mine. I do run through a touch less car wash every few days to keep plastic windows clean from slush and salt. I have a monthly pass. And it’s working great.

I live in Chicago and park outside on the street and so far the soft top has been great. We haven't had much snow but the one time we had a few inches I just made an effort to go out there and remove it more often than I would with a hard top. It doesn't really seem to be any different than a hard top when it comes to staying warm. We've had a lot of ice and single digit-mid teens temperatures and the cabin has been plenty warm. I would say the heater is actually too good in these things, I typically have it set to 69-70* in 15* weather and it stays warm in the front seats.

Do you notice any issues running it through the touchless wash? This is my first softtop but i've heard to stay away from those types of things because the soaps can be harsh on the top material. Good to know the top doesn't leak in those situations tho.
