I'm amazed anyone under the age of 40 can drive a manual tranny.
Enthusiast site skews the data a bit I'm guessing.

35 and I've bought 6 cars in my driving career, all manual. I've never purchased an auto.

What 18-24 yo can afford one. Impressive!
The base 2-door manual at 30k is reasonable. Some kid graduating with an IT degree could probably swing one ok.

Yes, 2-door manual would be considered entry level depending on trim. Poll shows about a 4% take under the age of 30 ( @ 134 votes). More than I expected, actually.

0% of those groups picked the manual 4-door.

“Choice” or what did we actually order? I’d prefer a 2 door manual. Family dynamics has me order a 4 door auto.

I’m in the 42-49 and have an auto 4 door because they won’t let me have a manual with the v6 and I have a 12 and 13yo at home that get in and out routinely.
Ideally I would have a 2 door 2.7 manual sas antimatter blue.

The poll allows two votes. Mostly for folks that have two Broncos in the family. If you feel strongly that it's fair to add your preference, vs your mandatory purchase requirements, I see no harm in that vote. If you had the money, you'd probably have two. Please don't abuse it though, as it will skew the results from reality.

Added a category for 2.7 owners who wanted manual. Encourage anyone who feels the same to vote, you have two votes.

I voted in the 36-41 age group, because I’m certain my 36th birthday will come before I get the Bronco, AND this age group covers my husband as well. :)

Wow, so far the majority of Bronco owners are 31-59 and have a 4-door automatic, almost 38%.

Not surprising, but still.

The poll shows almost 30% manual transmissions, which I think for the industry is incredible.

Just bought my son a manual as his first car and he'll probably be one of one at his school. I blame the parents for not passing the torch but most of them probably can't drive one either.

Ford (and all mfgs) really skew the numbers by not offering a choice of packages across the board when it comes to manuals.

Absolutely. We shopped multiple brands where leather seats and sunroof were not available with a manual trans. Only brand we found with full options for both manual and auto was MINI.

This is cool and all, but to be useful, the age leaps should be a consistent 5 years.

For the most part, you can aggregate those results from the poll. Is 53 any different than 57?

In my opinion, there is too much lifestyle difference between a 21 yo and a 30 yo to include them in the same category. Same with early 60s and late 60s considering retirement. As well as your 50s are generally stable. I was trying for rough socio-economic age divisions to keep the poll realistic.
