I woke up this morning and my coolant level is low..... Seems odd to me that now after 2k miles my coolant dropped and yes my Bronco is in the window of suspect engines in that 2 month window.
I think they were slightly under-filled at the factory.

I have ~2,500mi from a mid-october delivery; 2.7 built July 1. Began monitoring coolant in December...noticed it was exactly at "MIN". Earlier this month it dropped a half-inch below MIN, so I added a pint or so to bring it halfway between MIN/MAX. Haven't noticed further change

I've got 2k miles on my Bronco now and I check my fluids regularly. I woke up this morning and my coolant level is low. My engine oil I just checked is normal and I verified around the engine bay that there are no small leaks or soaked areas.

I will fill the reservoir back up today but after I do an exhaust test on the coolant. Seems odd to me that now after 2k miles my coolant dropped and yes my Bronco is in the window of suspect engines in that 2 month window. I'm hoping that maybe I can catch it before it fails as multiple failures have stated the coolant was gone.

There have been a few folks who have reported finding a clamp on the coolant reservoir leaking due to it not being properly installed. I would check to see if there is a loose hose clamp on the coolant system. Your results are mimicking a small leak that looses a bit of coolant while under operating temps. Not enough to notice, but enough to result in a lower cold level. Good luck.

Yeah I initially thought that and searched following each line and everything is dry.

My was built 21174. Fingers crossed. haha. I was planing on getting the extended warranty at some point even before this.
21211 here...I guess the pin is pulled just by having been built on that date...no blast yet. How many miles on yours?

Whether it's related to the engine problem or not, is anyone else startled by all these reports of low coolant levels in the first few thousand miles of a new vehicle? I think I'm going to be more paranoid about that than about sudden valve failure.

I thought I was in the clear with 7k miles. Nope
Did you want to share a photo of the engine build sticker? Knowing the build date helps us track the possibility failure mechanism.

Mine is about the same coolant level as the photo. I was not concerned but will keep a closer eye on it, and will stop by the dealership to buy 50/50 yellow antifreeze today.

UPDATE: I stopped by the dealer and talked to a mechanic. He gave me a bottle of yellow coolant, and the service manager gave me a bottle of windshield washer fluid since I asked to see their PDI Check list. My washer fluid cap was open and the washer fluid level was down about 3/4 of bottle when I picked it up. I think am going to be happy with this dealership. Especially since the mechanic was a Scotsman, and I have a deep respect for Scottish mechanics after working in the North Sea. I plan top off the coolant after it sits over night, 10F will be the low tonight, and plan to keep an eye on it.

Point of mention. This mechanic said they received an engineering bulletin or some other communication from Ford about the 2.3 L EcoBoost dropping valves. I suspect he had confused it with reports of the 2.7 dropping valves. I'll check with him the next time I visit. They have not had any issues here, possibly because Canada didn't receive many Broncos until late 2021.

It was freezing and I'd been stuck for 2.5 hours when it got towed off, so no sticker. But Lucchese looked up the info for me off the VIN:
engine ser# EF06A 21207 130993
- engine built July 26

If you read through all the BS conversations here like I did for the few posts that matter, knock on wood. 21211 gang has been good.

Sorry to hear. Thanks for keeping us posted. That's the third 21207 to go.

"Clear Gap" unchanged it appears, but this EBD is at very end of it.
