Ordered 1 piece as soon as it was available for pre orders. I’ve been saving PTO til the end of the year to pick that up, installed, and then head to Montana to get the GFC RTT installed. My boss, understandably, is starting to complain I don’t have a concrete date for 2 weeks when I’ve moved from October date to December, and a week is not set. Unfortunately, ADV said the very last week of December would be the safe bet. Well plot twist, GFC is taking the last week of December off for the holidays so I have no clue what to do now since PTO doesn’t roll over…I’m not really frustrated particularly at ADV, just at the whole situation, as every new thing that pops up is another issue. Believe fest 2 weeks of Jan is off limits to request off so I’m soooo lost…

Coming from Chicago so want it all done in one trip
Hope it works out for you.

I'm alot closer and would love to pick it up myself also, save the shipping, and save ADV the hassle of packaging it all up. Until they finalize production and shipping I can't make that call. Not mention it would cost nearly $350 to round trip it with gas prices out here, miss work etc.

Haha think I just talked myself out of picking it up.

I had the chance to stop by @ADV Fiberglass yesterday and check out their modular hardtop.

I was travel to California for business, found I would be in the next city over and reached out to John to see if I could stop by and see hard tops.

we exchanged a couple email to find that would work for the both of us.

When I arrived at the shop I found John and his team installing the first product modular hard top on a customer’s Bronco Badlands.

The first thing I noticed was the profile. The rear window is angled at the same angle as the angle at the top of the tailgate. The plain flows from the break line above the handle up to the roof line. The rear edge of the rear side windows follow the same line.

John was more than happy to show me th details inside and out. He explained why they designed certain things. Like how the rear sides set with dowels to ensure they drop in perfectly.

Every seam where two panels meet is gasketed, with a this rubber gasket. In areas where Ford has panels meet and there is gap will be an edge that adds to wind noise.

The latches are of quality, I was allowed to open close a few, they engaged with a positive “snap”. And took the appropriate amount of effort to open.

I was concerned with the rear sight lines with the wiper motor, but as the picture shows it is not that intrusive. When looking the the rear view mirror, it is pretty much hidden by the rear roof bar.

Finish was above what I expected. Where panels met, the edges were strong and clean and panel gap was consistent.

John and I spoke a bunch and I had to get back to the office, so my pictures are not the best, but…

I know I am forgetting details, if you have questions please reach out.

I will be ordering as soon as I am home.

It was a pleasure speaking with you! That modular hardtop (Same one on our shop bronco) was put on the factory Bronco for content and also noise testing which was fantastic. The hardtop was EXTREMELY dirty in these pictures so keep that in mind, we will clean it and provide additional pictures.

Will noise testing be done for the one piece, also?

Definitely! That will be in December since the production unit one-pieces will be finished by then.

I have a '23 Wildtrak on order with a hard top but I have to say after seeing this top I might just switch to a soft top and order one of these. I noticed on your website you offer sound deadening, what will that consist of?

It is a carpeted headliner, similar to the OEM one.

Looks rather similar to the factory softtop in that the rear window keeps a very similar angle to the top of the rear cargo door. I like it better than the factory hardtop angles. The finish looks very glossy, would you say the sheen is comparable to the black mirror caps, handles, or trim between front and rear window? Or is it much more reflective?

The texture is similar to the black plastic in between the front and rear doors.

People are getting good money for theirs. Like $5k and a soft-top!

Thanks for this write-up!

Although I already have one on order with ADV, your testimonial has solidified that I've made the right choice. I'm also happy I added the sound deadening liner as well, as I think that'll add to the look and (obviously) sound deadening.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the video on how this all goes together. Being someone who is less-than-handy, I'm hoping it's idiot proof, lol.
