This is excellent data Thank you are the non reservoir fox's the same travel and have the same initial tunability
Non-reservoir shocks don't have the same performance features.

This Information should be helpful to anyone adding spacers. Don't exceed a total length of 24.25" and you should be good to go without overdoing the droop.
Ford Bronco after market coil overs 2023-05-25_15-01-10
(for the front) Correct, and keep in mind that Bilstein extended lengths 23.3125.

Luckily (sorta) Broncos don't have a stand alone bump stop for the suspension, its internal with the shock so you wont need to change bump stop lengths. to match the new compressed lengths with a spacer lift.

I agree. It feels wrong putting 4 decimal precision on this where every measurement was done by different people with different equipment. Zero control. :(

This is just the first thread I came across with more than 1 product measurement so it made it easy to compile.

I'll have to dig for some Icon numbers. Pretty sure I've seen them posted somewhere...

Oh, I should ping @popo_patty as he's working on a Bronco shock comparison. Not sure if the chart data is useful for you.

Would be cool to add spring rate. I've seen a couple numbers thrown around.
I am trying to make some progress on spring rates, unloaded length, and compressed length at full shock extension. For both stock SAS and non SAS configurations. If this data exists I can’t find It. If anyone has some data or measurements that would be great.

Would be great to confirm. Fox shock lengths on their website are actually not the same as what we have posted in here. Seeing that ADS has a similar front extended lengths as King, seems as though they would fall into the same issues we've encountered.
ADS is limited prior to any issues this has been tested extensively. The research and development that went into this kit is very extensive. I wouldn’t run these on my own Bronco nor would I sell them if I didn’t think they were the best available. As for the measurement locations, they are measured as follows:

Upper mounting surface to lower eye center for the rear shocks.
Upper mounting surface to bottom of T bar on the front.
I hope this clears things up for you. Perhaps I missed it but I did t see where you were getting your measurements for King or Fox.

(y)I am simply looking for correct data & measurements to have a fair comparison.

We measured these shocks ourselves and confirmed with Fox & King. We've also installed these and cycled the suspension. We've spent quite a bit of time testing and tuning these shocks and finding the best valving & spring package.

VERY useful thanks!
Also stoked to be working with Accutune on a tuning video to follow as well. The Bronco suspension video is starting filming next week. It will be Icon, Radflo and King

Icon provided their measurements when they introduced their product. Link to their post and updated grid below.
I'm pretty much decided on Icon Stage 8 tubular kit now.

I changed my oil today so I thought I would take some suspension measurements. I am probably very close to stock SAS numbers wrt up and down wheel travel. Measurements only accurate to probably 1/4”, old eyes.

Trim: non SAS 4dr 2.3 OBX 4.27 gear ratio; no weight mods
  • bilstein 6100s on lowest preload setting with OBX 4dr 2.3 SAS springs: front MB3Z-5310-J ; rear NB3Z-5560-E
  • Lift measured center axle to fender
  • Assumes wheel travel amplification on front of 1.5/1 and 1/1 on rear
  • Measurements taken 6/03/23
Front
  • Ford curb weight of 2543 lbs
  • lift of 26.25”
  • Shock length of 22.8” with 6.3” of stroke (from specs)
  • Static load at ride height: shock compression is 2.3
  • Shock compression travel is 4.0” and extension is 2.3”
  • Wheel up travel is 6.0” and down travel is 3.5”
Rear
  • Ford curb weight of 2034 lbs
  • Lift of 26.75”
  • Shock length of 25.6” with 7.5” of stroke (from specs)
  • Static load at ride height: shock compression is 4.0”
  • Shock and wheel up travel is 3.5” and down travel is 4.0”

Care to elaborate on the difference and how it would effect the measurements?

Eye to eye typically refers to the distance between the top and bottom spherical bearings of a shock. Most of these shocks have a top plate and bar pin that the shock mounts to. Different manufacturers will have different dimensions of top plates and bar pins.

If we are getting this specific, would be nice to confirm how the ADS shocks are being measured like I mentioned before. Mounting surface/top of top hat to center of lower shock bolt (rear) or mounting surface of bar pin (front). Shocks can be measured a few ways, so if we're comparing apples to apples they need to be measured the same way.

Of course! I think it was a different thread that this was discussed more.

Measurements for Fox, King, ADS are taken from mounting surface to mounting surface. So for these shocks, it would be from the top of the top hat to either center of lower shock bolt or bottom of bar pin.
