Not to hijack but I've got a set of rear 6100s for sale in the box never used if anyone is looking. $400 plus the ride.

I actually just ordered the 6100s.

Sorry man, but hats off to you for wheeling hard it looks like and going ahead with the order for the 6100s. :)

The OEM shocks are trash for long term off-roading, but decent for street driving; remember, that’s where most will ever be used.

Think Ford knew most who either wheel or get into off-roading would be upgrading soon after warranty wears out.

I’m halfway through year 2 of owning my 2023 and just over 13K miles. The 6100s are on my very short list for upgrade and hope to get a half inch more of lift with whatever shock and coil combo I go with.

Also looking at FOX and a couple of options from ICON.

Got to be a lot of fun when one of those reservoirs drops off on the highway! Makes me appreciate carrying high liability coverage.
Windshield killers. Ford wants that recurring revenue. And stock value is still worthless.

Who knows I may be :) . Looking at the 2.5 FOX, but that cost benefit analysis is tricky to make sense. Talking a $2500 difference for the 4 corners, roughly.

A friendly reminder for any closet desert racers out there who are thinking FOX or Kings; those shock bodies must be fully rebuilt after between 35K - 75K miles, or they will likely fail. This is known and not a defect, it’s how racing shocks work.

Then again, maybe I’m really a Hitachi guy after all. :ROFLMAO:

This crap is clearly defective. No TSB means Ford is just shoving their fingers in their ears and ignoring it. That really sucks.

Yeah, you can bet your ass my Hitachis will last forever!!!!
Didn't even have to pay extra for them!!

Unfortunately, the plan is to change out to some good ones with a lift whenever they wear out .....
I'm sure you were joking but there's a reason our local dealership will replace your Hitachis free of charge as a 'serviceable item' under warranty lol
