It took a couple of weeks due to vacation but here are the first couple of modifications on the Stroppe.
Tailgate has been painted to match getting rid of the black.
Bronco stickers deleted on the side.
Original BAJA by Stroppe stickers added to the front quarter panels.
Next up is the Baja bull bar — the question is should I get it painted code orange to match the sides.
Also, I have color matched door handles ordered.

I never noticed it before in other posted photos of the Stroppe. But that pinch weld needs to be addressed. With it being white, it sticks out like a sore thumb. I wouldn't continue the code orange on the pinch weld. But a simple mask and black paint should be more than adequate to "hide" it from sticking out so much.

Handles I would leave as they help break up the length of code orange. They also match the mirror caps.

Are you considering painting the sides of the roof white leaving the top atlas blue?

The painted handles should look nice. I think it would look better with the white around the windshield painted blue like the top.

Did this edition come with interior packages? Or was it just one option?

That looks awesome! That tailgate looks a million times better than all black.

One side note that pre runner bar you are looking at I have that exact one. It’s a great bar and has held up great and looks great. Only issue I had was the front two bolts on both sides of the bumper, as its a pain to screw on because of the angle of the bar.

The tailgate color changes looks great!

I agree, I would leave the handles as is. Parts like the door handles, wiper arms, bumpers, mirrors, and window trim were all chrome on the original Bronco and now those are all carbon black. So it sorta makes sense that the handles are not body color.

Great changes so far to the way Ford should have released them! Removing that Bronco sticker on the side would have been my first action.

As for painting the bull bar, either would look good, paging @EvilJim1971 to show off his half and half painted winch bumper to see if you like.

What else do you have in mind?

Get a copy of Forscan and make all the usual changes (double honk delete, add Sport mode, etc).

Dude... You know I'm shy and hate attention... 😁
@Baja do you still have your EB Stroppe? You KNOW we will need family photos.
I would have the bar painted, no doubt.
Was the black on the tailgate paint or wrapped?
Love your progress so far.
Hope to see you at one of the Super Celebration events, I'm heading to the Colorado one in September.

I thought about getting the sides of the top painted white, maybe in the future.

As for the pinch weld area, electric steps should cover that up most of the time.

I am trying to get it as close to our orignal as possible and the white around the windshield is original.

This only had one interior package and very limited on any additional add ons.

Would have left the tailgate hinges black.

I think that I have watched the install video about a dozen times to prepare for the limited space bolts.

Just so you know, those OEM steps/rails are in demand. Don't sell yourself short. You'll be able to name your price. And buyers will be willing to pay the ridiculous shipping.
