Iād take off the JB4I already emailed them this morning after your post
Q. Would their tune add to my existing JB4 tuner or replace it? If it replaces it does it provide for Water Methanol injection and nitrous oxide control like the JB4?
Yep, got them finished up last Friday. Just working on the tune now to get it all straightened out. Then itāll go back on the dyno for some numbers.Hey @Ducati1098
Did you get the cr turbos installed yet? Iām receiving mine tomorrow according to package tracking but looking at install of next week. Iām working with ZFG for a 93 tune with it. Big fan of ZFG!
Yes sir, I see you on there. Not a bad run considering how heavy she is and the 37ās. Youāll probably shave 2 seconds or more off that time with the new tune and turbos on 93. Itās gonna feel like a different vehicle@MWILD you can find my slow 0 to 60 on draggy under seananigans ha. I have a lot of weight with winch and mechanical side steps etc but that was on the procal tune. fiberglass stuff is also heavier and the person who did the work said Iām the only person thatās come to their shop to add weight ha. But they usually deal with sport and exotic cars. Hopefully with the zfg + new turbo I can get a better time when I have my gf and two dogs in the bronco
Thatās pretty good. Iād expect under 5 secs with the new Turbos and tune.I just did some quick data logging and got 6.14 0 to 60 with this 93 tune. Turbos install begins Monday so weāll see then
You see a need for larger injectors - i.e., turbo upgrade?Thereās a huge difference between gen 1 and 2.
Gen 2 has a whole secondary port fuel system in addition to the direct injection, which is how it has plenty of fuel supply to support E85.
Gen 1 like your Nautilus doesnāt, which is why gen 1 2.7ās can only run ~E50 safely without upgrading the fuel system.
Regardless, I work on these for a living. So I think I know better than most people about any inherent risk of modification.
Yeah just port injectors. Swapped to OEM ones from a 3.5 ecoboost. Just about to finish up the 93 tune, then the E85 tune will tell us if that was enough or not.You see a need for larger injectors - i.e., turbo upgrade?
"seal failures and rubber hose issues" what does that even mean? Which ones exactly?
This isn't the 1970's lol
Manufactures have been making fuel systems that can handle ethanol blended fuel perfectly fine for a long time now. There are a ton of vehicles all over the world running E85 that aren't designed to from the factory with no issues whatsoever.
Seals and rubber hoses are literally the last thing I'm worried about
no, ford pays a room full of engineers big bucks to figure out how to get every last mgp out of these. I cannot make it any better.Dumb question on tuning but if driven conservatively will it potentially yield better MPG's?
Sure you could, just run dangerously lean.no, ford pays a room full of engineers big bucks to figure out how to get every last mgp out of these. I cannot make it any better.
