  1. So, the hurricane is in my backyard. Literally.

Any other Florida peeps out there? This is our backyard earlier and a few minutes ago. The neighbor's dock is starting to come apart.
  2. Tread Lightly - Four Wheel Drive Way. Pinstripes!

We camped in Ocala National Forest the last few days. While there we did the Tread Lightly - Four Wheel Drive Way trail. It's 81 miles and takes a good part of the day to finish. If you have a nice new Bronco that you don't want to scratch up then forget about this trail right now. Like nails...
  3. Imogene Pass - Telluride to Ouray - Put this one on your list!

This is a bucket list trail. Like many southern Colorado trails it is not too technically challenging, but the scenery is spectacular! Plenty of old mine ruins to explore. Shelf roads with drop-offs to keep your attention. And scenery that is hard to beat. Imogene is often done as part of a...
  4. Finally got a call back from my local dealer... I need a shower to clean off the slime.

One lie after another. Told me I would need to cancel my current reservation if I want to switch dealers. Even went so far as to claim that my reservation had been lost. Won't give me pricing. $895 dealer fee that is the "average in Florida". Etc, etc, etc. Next call was to Ford marketing...
  5. And this is why I want MGV instead of leather...

2015 Jeep. 63,000 miles. Doors usually off. Bikini or hardtop usually on. Gets Florida sun and rain all the time. I am rough on vehicles and buy them to use them. I don't take good care of the leather. I don't want extra maintenance. Just want to use it. I'm going to need seat covers soon at the...
  6. Transfer a reservation to a family member?

One of my sons is interested in using my second reservation. I read somewhere that you can transfer to a family member at time of ordering. I can't seem to find where I read it. Was I dreaming or can we do that? And what constitutes a family member? Do you need to be under the same roof?
  7. Just bought a camper! Tab 400 Boondock

So we put a lot of thought into how to explore more areas and avoid hotels. We considered roof top tents, regular tents, an off-road trailer, a motorhome to pull the Bronco, etc. We decided that we wanted something small enough to tow behind our current Wrangler and future Bronco that could be...
  8. Black Bear Pass crash

Gotta be careful on these shelf roads. Just did this pass last month. Scary stuff. https://ourcommunitynow.com/video/video-dashcam-footage-shows-jeep-rolling-down-black-bear-pass-in-colorado Mod Edit: emeded the video into your post (y) Joe
  9. Photoshop request - Sage green 4 door with black jambs and painted top.

I know it's a lot to ask but I hope someone with the talent will mock this up: 4 door BL Squatch purchased in Black Wrapped in the same matte or satin sheen green in the image below Doors off so you see the contrast of the black paint on the door jambs and the wrap (because it's hard to wrap...
  10. Warden Gulch - Montezuma Colorado

This was one of my favorite trails on our Colorado trip. In large part because there was not another single vehicle in sight when we were there. On the entire trail the only other human we saw was a sole hiker heading down the hill while we were going up. Warden Gulch is an in and out trail...
  11. Great article on European vs U.S. tow ratings.

I wondered why a Wrangler is rated at 5500 lbs or so in Europe but 3500 lbs in the U.S. even with the same specs. This article explains it pretty well. You can get some advice on how to tow safely. There are a few basic rules in the article. One of the most important is speed. It's not a short...
  12. Free Bronco coffee cups from Bronco Super Celebration West. Look for them at Bronco East!

There was a table setup with Ford reps at Bronco Super Celebration West. They had tablets setup with a survey for those attending. If you did the survey you got a free mug! They are nice quality metal coffee cups with lids. Just letting you know to look for it if you attend the east event. I...
  13. Chihuahua Gulch - Montezuma, Colorado

This is a great little trail we found not far from Breckenridge, Colorado. It is an offshoot from Peru Creek trail/road. Peru Creek is an easy to access road. You could run into a Prius on the main road. We also found areas where you can do dispersed camping. Chihuahua Gulch is more...
  14. Black Bear Pass - Ouray Colorado area

I recently got a GoPro and took it with us on some trails in Colorado. I will be doing some threads here as I get the videos done so we can start building a library of trails that might be of interest. I'm a beginner at putting videos together but they should at least give you an idea of what...
  15. Towed a 3500 lb Airstream behind a Wrangler with no problems.

I buried this post in another thread but decided it should probably be it's own thread here in the towing section. This is real world experience towing at the limit with an off road vehicle. Should give you some idea of what the Bronco will be able to do. ------------------------------------...
  16. Options to limit pinstriping?

I have a lot of pinstripes now and they don't bother me. My Wrangler is five years old and it just looks like it has been properly used. I am not sure I want to pinstripe the Bronco right away. Might try to keep it looking new for a few years. What are the options to protect the vulnerable...
  17. Trail videos to help decide which 2021 Bronco trim and options you need/want

My wife and I had the opportunity to do some really fun trails while in Colorado to see the Bronco. I thought that some of you may find video clips of the trails interesting to help you decide what model/options you want or need. If you are interested in going off road then some of the options...
  18. 4k mile road trip to see it -- My impressions of the 2021 Bronco now!

We needed a vacation. The chance to see a 2021 Bronco in person was a great reason to head to Colorado. We rented a 16’ Airstream Basecamp, put a brake controller on the Wrangler and left Siesta Key, Florida for Breckenridge, Colorado. The Jeep actually tracked better at speed than it does...
  19. Earthroamer

Anyone else love these things? Crazy expensive, I know. But damn what a fun expedition vehicle! https://earthroamer.com/new-lti/explore/
  20. On the way to Colorado to see the 2021 Bronco!

Only a few thousand miles to go... Who else is going?
