blackBlack or silver threaded balls?
Mine looks exactly like that. They are asking if this ball mount for the strut is black or silver in color.
yes! thanks, almost put mine on yesterday, got lazy and didnt, been ready to zip into garage abd do it, GLAD I SAW THIS TODAY!!!As I stated in my post I would’ve waited to talk to them but their customer service is closed until Monday morning and I would hate for someone else to have the same thing happen to them if seeing it here can prevent it. Also, my hope was by posting here I might be able to make contact with someone from IAG outside of normal hours.
Yea I would have expected an email over the weekend about the warning. I reached out to them about a refund or a fix. They really need to send that email to everyone who bought these…
I dig this solution. Thanks for taking the time to share. Have not installed them yet since I pre ordered, but this looks great. Will be adding PPF as well.All. I did this just in case. It took me all of 5 minutes. Going to put the top down and test tonight. I have been running mine for a few weeks with no issues. Clearance looks good too but just in case.
Yeah, that's exactly why I bought this product. I installed yesterday, and they work really well. Although I guess I need to check for rubbing. It makes opening the secure storage I have installed much easier.
Also, my understanding from reviews on here, their website, and their videos was that it would help with preventing the lateral movement that causes the support bars for the soft top to rub on the pillars. After installing I don’t feel like it does that much to help with that but it definitely makes accessing the back easier with the secure storage.
BlackBlack or silver threaded balls?
As hard as this strut seems to be rubbing, its only a matter of time before it rubs through the PPF.I just got inside the house after doing the install of the struts and pff protection. Yeah, I would love to have a nice thick piece of pff sent to slap on below the original pff pieces I just put on.
Sure wished I had seen it back on Friday. Note to self, before installing anything on Bronco, check out the forums on BroncoG6yes! thanks, almost put mine on yesterday, got lazy and didnt, been ready to zip into garage abd do it, GLAD I SAW THIS TODAY!!!
I was wondering about the resistance of putting the top all the way down and if there was more of that then before the struts were installed. I asked @IAG Performance about that, and even messaged @Buttercup.the.bronco on her youtube channel about the before and after difficulty of putting the top down versus up, because we all know it helps to put the top up.I had a small scratch. Only one time down and no driving. Removed. I wasn’t sure I liked it anyway, although it made the top easier to go up it also made it hard to go down. I found it annoying. Total bust.
Thats awesome. Could you share before and after pictures of his repair?Glad to see it wasn't just me. Fortunately, I have a friend whose business is repairing such damage and he will fix the paint that was scraped off. I took the struts and hardware off completely. I am waiting to here if there will be a remedy.
